Brand new sense not getting text notifications. Call notifications work and can answer the phone. I tried all the troubleshooting... restart phone, restart Fitbit, I’m running the latest iOS it’s like 14.3. I don’t get it. This is why I upgraded. If no solutions, returning.

@Elenaki22 only notifications you create about need to show. At this point I would:
1. Uninstall fitbit app
2. Reboot phone and Sense
3. Reinstall Fitbit app
4. Set up all notifications again both on phone and in Fitbit app making sure that everything matches the setup described here
5. If everything else fails, I would perform a factory reset (wipe the device) and set it up again

@Elenaki22 try turning off and back on notifications in the settings on your iPhone. Also make sure all there notification type for iPhone are enabled - banner, notification centre and lock screen.

@Elenaki22 try removing Fitbit from your paired devices list in the Bluetooth settings on your phone. Reboot both phone and Fitbit. Open fitbit app and force sync. It should ask for pairing/linking. Confirm.

Just did all of that again. No texts. Calls are fine.

@Elenaki22 oh joy. Just to "share system notifications" is on in the Bluetooth settings for Sense on your iPhone as well as Show Preview is set to Always/When unlocked in the notification settings? Another thing to try is basically to disable all notifications within Fitbit mobile app and re-enable them. Oh joy.

Yes. All that is done and as you said. 😞 perhaps It’s because phone and text aren’t showing up in app notifications? It just says apps will be updated when they send notifications to your phone.... 🤷🏻:female_sign:

@Elenaki22 yes. They need to show. How come texts are not showing up? What about other app notifications? 😞
ETA: Just to make sure - for EACH app u want Fitbit to display notification, you went to iPhone app notification settings and turned on Notification Centre?

The other apps aren’t really relevant where I receive notifications. That’s why they are so strange in being listed. It’s my video doorbell and viber. Very strange the app would pull these. And yes in settings notifications all the relevant apps... phone email messages etc have notifications on, persistent, always.

Thanks. The phone and messages still aren’t showing up in app notifications but after uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app, I am now appearing to get text messages. But now it’s trying to get quick replies going...

@Elenaki22 quick replies do not work on iOS. It's limitation of iOS notification centre. Unfortunately.
@Alexd07 please take a look at my post above https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Sense/Fitbit-sense-no-text-notifications/m-p/4632912/highlight/true#...

Fitbit needs to do a better job incorporating all platforms. For $300 plus dollars not having every feature is disappointing. They should also do a better job advertising what each item does or does not work with. These used to be cool products and they are getting cooler from a look at our features but not in practical functionality. Terrible.

@Elenaki22 I'll be honest the restrictions were the main reason why I abandoned iOS and went to Android. It's apple who make sure the competitors are restricted. Personally I hope for better (less bugs, more google products) integration following Google merger. I know it doesn't help you, but at this point there's no bypassing iOS notification centre. 😞

These are good points - I have done all the suggestions above - everything was working on my Ionic before I switched to Sense - I’m thinking I will return the Sense and go back to Ionic. I’m an IT tech and can’t get the iPhone notifications on Phone and text working.... very disappointed, and a friend who was going to buy a Sense - saw my issues and went for an Apple Watch instead! Problems like these get around fast if Fitbit does not heed these issues seriously!

I finally managed to get text and whatsapp notification from my iphone to my versa 2
Wonder if apple make it harder for their user when purchasing other devices than apple
