Fitbit Sense keeps restarting in a loop

Just got a new Fitbit Sense and did the following:

- Plugged in the device for charging 

- Setup Fitbit app on my Android phone 

- Followed on screen instructions for setup including setup of WiFi

- Everything worked as expected and Fitbit prompted for a mandatory software update. Post update and unplugging the device, it keeps restarting in a loop every 10 seconds.

- When I plug it back to the charger, it works OK. But this does not help.

- Tried factory reset and deleting/uninstall few times and also tried Fitbit watch faces but no luck 

 

How do I fix this?

I've had my fitbit sense for over a year and am having weird issues like this as well today. The screen will no longer swipe, and the fitbit keeps restarting on its own today as well. Apple phone, made sure I updated the app, plugged in the charger, etc and still no luck.
