It appears about a week ago I stopped getting phone calls and texts on my wrist. No setting changes were made to the app or my watch. This was a key reason I upgraded from the versa to the sense was for the phone calls and wallet. What to check next?

I am having the same problem.. I have done all the steps and been on a chat twice., Nothing helps. My old versa quit getting texts and thats when I upgraded. This will be my last fitbit if this does not resolve. I have turned off , on, updated, restarted, clicked everywhere I was told to. The only change is a phone update the other day. I have since gone to all the places I was told to check in the phone and watch. Samsung z flip 3 is the phone..

Ive done all of those except for uninstalled the app.. I am beyond frustrated. Same thing happened with my versa after a year. I have had the Sense since Christmas. Ridiculous. I probably will not get another fitbit after this.

Seems this is beyond Sense, reports in Charge 5, Versa, Sense, etc all related to notifications, if you keep trying the same thing and nothing changes then it must be the Fitbit app, I remove new version, put back backup of previous version notifications work, so seems someone in Fitbit development messed up the code for notifications. Maybe they should stop trying to make the app worse, and either leave it or make it better... Laugh at all the posts concerning how people reach out to support and get remove this unpair that.. how about really troubleshoot, fix the Android app.
I have both iphone and Android, if I pair to iPhone notifications work and they did not break the backgrounds yet... Just waiting for Fitbit to update iPhone app so those user can suffer... Think Fitbit is trying to make their users insane. Keep unpairing and remove app, re add remove setup as new device... Insane...

FitBit uses their customers as Beta testers. Seems every time they throw out an update some new glitch appears.

I was able to fix the problem. After exhausting all ideas the Telephone Support (not support) and spending 40 minutes on the call with them I removed the app and reinstalled it. In going through he setup you are required to have Locations turned on (meaning you need to select the Always on option). Once this was done the app and device returned to normal.
One thing you will notice after the removal and re-installation, Sen=se will no longer appear in you Connected Devices but somehow magically will work. Hope this helps.

Hi, whenever I accidentally close/quit the app, when I open the app again, I always have to reboot my phone for the notifications (text msg) to work on my sense. Is this normal ?

HI @Eissirhc - that is not normal, it would seem there is an incorrect setting on the phone perhaps, which may be particular to the make and model of the phone, the version of the Fitbit App, or possibly the firmware level on the watch.
To investigate further that information would be necessary. But do check your battery optimisation settings on the phone in case it is shutting down Bluetooth and/or the App.
Instead of rebooting the phone try turning off Bluetooth for a minute and back on again before starting the App and see if that works.

I have tried turning my Bluetooth off for about 2 mins and back on again and retarted the Fitbit app. Still doesn't work. My phone model is Xiaomi 11T pro, MIUI 13.0.4. my Fitbit app version is 44.128.6.17
I really wanted to enjoy Fitbit but haven't been enjoying it so far 😢

@Eissirhc - thanks for the feedback, you'll need also the Fitbit App version, click profile photo, Help support, it's at the top.
Have you tried to clear the storage cache and force stop the Fitbit App just in case.
When you do logout and login of the Fitbit App try going to the phone home screen immediately without closing the App, there should be a sync popup, click on it and you should get a pair and link prompt, or at least the link one.
Maybe chat via the Fitbit App click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support and provide that information so they can check in their database.
You should be able to get it to work.
