it should only last two days regardless of the fitbit claims of longer time period. But on a side note seems that some issue is going on with the battery life as of this past week or so for a crap ton of people I refuse to use the app until I hear the issue is fixed.

My opinion /belief is they have been testing heart rate stuff and some how messed up the coding somewhere and it draining the battery very fast just my thoughts not a fact.

Hi Chris, I’m here with the same problem, I have a Fitbit sense that over the last few days won’t last the whole day and I’ve not changed any settings mine is only 4/5 months old

Hi Chris. Having the same issue. Just started a few days ago after some heart rate study notification popped up.  My Fitbit Sense is only 4 months old and now won’t hold a charge for even half a day!

Have you tried uninstalling the SpO2 app (if you don't use it), that uses a lot of battery. Without it installed I comfortably get around 6 days of battery, but with the app this is cut to about 3.

Fitbit app - tap profile picture - Sense - Apps tile - My apps tab (look for it in there).

It's also worth changing your watch face if you've changed it recently (around the time you saw the increased battery usage). Some of these are quite heavy on system resources. Also things like AOD understandably use a lot of battery.

It's probably worth restarting your Sense too by pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds (until you see the fitbit logo).

This is happened suddenly to a lot of us. It started two days ago in my case, and yes, nothing to do with change of habits or a bigger demand on the battery. Suddenly my Sense's battery will not hold a charge more that a few hours of just normal functioning. And it won't last the night on sleep mode, even with a full charge before bed. With the battery life like this the watch is all but worthless.

In that case it's probably best to contact customer support (here). They should be able to look deeper into the issue and hopefully discuss the options available to you.

Hi I’ve been in touch with customer support first by their Facebook page and then they emailed me , as my Fitbit sense was only purchased December 2020, they are sending me a replacement which is great but I am worried the same problem will occur again.

Thank you I will do the same. Purchased mine in December also. Thank you for the update.

Thank you. Not using the sp02 and have not changed the clock face. Same one I have been using for around 3 months. Sounds like a software issue. I did close the app and it is not draining as quickly but that’s just a band aid until I can get this problem resolved.

Good morning. I contacted customer service and they are replacing my watch. Very helpful and friendly. I am thinking they know there is an issue though ( speculation on my part).

I’m guessing it’s a known issue as very quick to offer a replacement - just checked I’d tried some some fixes and it was within warranty before offering a replacement. Mine is only 3 mo old, and experienced this issue the last three days.

There’s a ton of us having this same exact issue starting on the same day. We think it is related to the last update.

The only “fix” we’ve found is to turn off your Bluetooth - turn it back on only when you want to sync your steps. You won’t get any notifications or really be able to use it as a smart watch, but your battery will at least stay charged to track steps.

Hopefully they’ll get an update to us. You’re definitely not alone!

Yes, I think that is the issue. As far as I can tell, since the latest app release, the app gets stuck in a loop of syncing with the Fitbit device, completing sync, then restarting sync, indefinitely, which is draining the battery. The upside is that every single thing on the Fitbit is always up to date, the downside is that the battery life is 6-12 hours regardless of your settings. Although some people are being shipped replacement Fitbits by the company, nobody has reported in to say that the exchange fixed the issue.

Hello everyone.

Sorry to hear about this. If you haven't tried then please check these instructions to improve the battery life on your device. Additionally please do check the great tips that @N8teGee shared in his posts. Still, as he mentioned, you can contact Support if the issue persists.

Hope this helps.
