Goodbye sense

Super disappointed in Fitbit. I’ve been a Fitbit user for years! Last June my versa 2 died on me. It was just a year after owning it so Fitbit wouldn’t do anything but give me a discount (they were already having a sale so it made no difference). I went for the sense and it lasted for 4 months and then stopped charging. They sent me a new one that also won’t hold a charge for more then a day. They want me to send it back but I think I’m ready to move on to a new brand, any suggestions? Apple Watch? I love the Fitbit app so hoping to find something that is similar to that. I just feel like 3 broken Fitbits in a row show a huge lack of quality in their products and I don’t want to deal with that anymore.

Hi @Abrydon - you may have been misinformed. There is a known problem with the chargers which stop charging the watch which is not at fault.

The rapid discharging is due to certain functions and possibly errors in the software, and generally not a watch problem.

Unfortunately replacement watches may not be new but refurbished ones and you may have received a faulty one in exchange for your good one.

This won't help you much but it is best to do your own verification to localise if it is actually a watch problem or one of features or software.

An Apple watch requires very frequent charging which may not please you more than a Fitbit which normally has a much better battery life when things are working normally.

Thank you for that information! It’s super frustrating to me that Fitbit would choose to send me a refurbished Fitbit instead of sending me a new charger? That seems like the easier fix? 

Apple Watch was my next option because if I do have to go through the hassle of charging it everyday then I rather be charging an Apple Watch.
