HR Sensor not working - eBay warranty questions

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I contacted Fitbit about 4 times yesterday trying to troubleshoot my heart rate sensor, as it constantly shows up with two dashes and my sleep score is basic because it isn't reading my heart rate while I'm sleeping. The Fitbit was bought through eBay, which I was asked about when discussing the warranty. Is there a possibility that my claim for the manufacturer warranty will be denied because it was purchased on eBay?? They said I would get an e-mail after they reviewed my claim, which was supposed to take a few hours at most, but it has now been about 24 hours and I haven't heard any word.

Anyone else have any experience with this process?

Hi @alexikat  only a Fitbit purchased from an authorized retailer has a warranty. eBay is not an authorized retailer. Have you contacted eBay? Sometimes they are able to get you a refund for the purchased item.

Oof, that is unfortunate to hear. Thanks for your reply! I reached out to eBay about a return, so I will keep my fingers crossed. 😩

I bought my fitbit from ebay, but the seller was authorized for resale so I had no problem replacing my watch. It was very fast and practical, I have nothing to complain about with fitbit's support in this regard

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @alexikat, thanks for getting back to us @IgorR11 and @Odyssey13. Thanks for sharing your Sense and eBay inquiry.

Some retailers are authorized to sell through eBay. Our team has been busy lately and that´s why you haven´t gotten a response yet. I updated your case with your comments and you should wait for a reply.

Thank you for your comment @IgorR11 and for your assistance @Odyssey13.

Have a nice day.
