Health Metrics doesn't show SpO2 graph

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Health Metrics on my iPhone have been working fine until the last two days when it stopped showing the graph for SpO2.  My Sense shows the data each morning but it doesn't show up on the graph.

I have uninstalled the app, rebooted the iPhone, re-installed the app, but no graph.

Any suggestions?

Hi Janet178

I had a problem with a disappeared SpO2 graph on my Health Metrics.  I tried all the recommended actions but still no graph.  So I put the matter aside and then some days ago, hmm, checks graph, yes, 5 days ago it re-appeared, and has been plotting nicely each morning since then.  I think this is most unlikely to be a hardware matter.  Everything else works, and to have two Sense's fail seems most, most, most unlikely. Extremely unlikely in fact.  Much more likely to be a glitch in the software.  I think, and Lizzy can correct me here where I am wrong, but as I understand it we wear the Sense over night, when we sync in the morning the Sense sends the info to our phone app, which then sends it off to Howard St, San Francisco or wherever the servers are, the servers process the data and send it back to your app which then displays it on the screen as a graph.  Any number of places in that stream where stuff can go wrong. So my recommendation is to give it a few days and see what happens.  Perhaps in the meantime perhaps Lizzy can suggest to her contacts that they get on to this issue and fix it.

Hi @CBV2. I hope you're doing well.

I'm glad the SpO2 data keeps appearing in the Health Metrics tile and thanks for sharing your insights. I understand how helpful it's to have all your data in one place to check your progress toward your goals and track your health, I'm sure your suggestions will help other Community members. In this help article you can find more information about how your data syncs and if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted.

Have a nice day!

Lizzy I have done all the above and I have done exactly all of the above. My sense is only recording it my resting heart rate but not recording any other data in health metrics

Hi Lizzy:

Seems this problem which just started a few days ago for me has been happening to others for quite a while. I get the data on my watch eg last night is was 96-97. my last reported date on the app is Feb 1 or 2. Now I get the same cryptic message as others to download a clock face and the tracker app.

One person said to update the App to 3.37. I am on 3.36 but when I go to "check for updates" it says I am up to date.

I have tried switching SpO2 clock faces and even to a non SpO2 face and back to no avail.

OS is IOS 14.4 on an Iphone 11 Pro

Other health Metric data appears except for the occasional "no data available"

Same thing just happened to me. I updated the app on my phone to the latest version, but SpO2 graph still didn’t show. Was still getting the download clock face and tracking app messages instead. Clicked on the download tracking app message and it showed as already installed. But then I clicked on permissions for the tracker and toggled all off and back on. Went back to health metrics and graph had reappeared, but no data for the last two weeks or so. Not sure if the app update just took awhile to fix problem or if the permissions toggle on the tracker was the solution. I suspect it was the permissions toggle but who knows.

Same here — only I've never had the SpO2 graph itself show up in the Health Metrics tile. It's just not there like it should be.

I am getting SpO2 values on my Sense clock face, so I know my watch is working properly. It's the Fitbit app itself that seems to be the issue.

I've tried uninstalling the SpO2 Tracker app, logging out of Fitbit, force closing the app, and restarting my phone. But when I sign back into Fitbit and reinstall the Sp02 Tracker app, still nothing.

This is all quite baffling and frustrating.... please help.

Hi all.

I had the same problem, spo2 stopped updating in the Health Metrics tab on 17 March until today (23 March).  I tried reinstalling the app but no joy.  I then tried selecting a different spo2 clock face and re-syncing, this also failed to resolve the missing days. Finally I tried restarting my Sense by holding the button until it restarted.  Once it had restarted,  I synchronised with the app and the missing data appeared. I suspect restarting the Sense resolved the issue but I've included the full list of actions just in case it's relevant. Hope this works for you too.

Has this issue been resolved? The SpO2 was showing up fine for months and then on Saturday it stopped showing in my Health Metrics but shows up on the watch face.

Best Answer

Have you tried restarting your Watch?  As per my post previously, this seems to fix the issue.

@ChrisG73xc You sound like the IT guy who the first thing he says is did you try CTL-ALT-Delete. Since this is not the first issue I had with a FitBit Device that is the first thing I did followed by deleting the App and reinstalling it. Neither worked. If you do a Factory Reset or delete the watch from the app and then reinstall it you will lose the data and cannot get the SpO2 for three days and I want to try and avoid this potential solution because you lose data.

I was just sharing what worked when I had the same experience. Deleting the app from my phone and reinstalling didn't lose any data in my case.

Good luck.

I am still waiting for a resolution on this issue. I am paying for Premium service and if this does not work I think I am owed some form of compensation as I am clearly not getting what I paid for.

After talking about this with support this is what I got "Based on the troubleshooting steps that you've done and the information in your account, I can confirm that the issue that you're having is the same as the one our team is currently addressing."

So this does not look like something that will be fixed soon.

Best Answer

Well it is two weeks later and the issue is still there but the data is not. Remind me again why I am paying for a watch that does not work and for premium service I am not getting.

Hey Lizzy,

My sense isn't showing the SpO2 as well and I have read this whole thread trying each suggestion.  Is there going to be a fix?

Mine isn't working either. It hasn't for about 10 days. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the SpO2 app as well as the clock face. I've also tried just restarting the watch. All my other sleep matrix are being recorded/reported.

I have trouble for a few days, resetting, uninstalling, but nothing works.
So now I do not bother, it seems to *always* come back, unexpectedly...
