hi Forum,
my pretty new Sense is tracking my heartrate while I am taking it off (not wearing it).
The green LEDs are just going on blinking when the Sense lays alone on the table.
I am using the latest iOS App and the Sense firmware is on 128.4.17 (latest).
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Cheers from Switzerland

hello LiliyaFitbit,
thank you for the feedback!
Well, I just got back to support... and they actually said that this should not be the case.
Once you take off the Sense an lay it down on a table it can be on it's side or upright... or upsidedown on the display... doesn't matter.
The green LEDs should stop blinking after some seconds and so should the heartrate tracking.
I tested again several times and it mostly worked fine.
There was one thing I could imagine is the problem. It's the fact that after sweating the Sense underside with the sensors can me a bit wet and/or dirty...just a little...
Can this affect the Sense so that it goes on tracking for over 2 hours without having it on the wrist? In my case it went up to a heartrate of 156 while I was in another house...?

Mine does this too when I lay it on a surface. I just flip mine upside down (sensor side up) and it stops.

hi mcleanne,
you are absolutely right!..... mine works as it should too when I put it upside-down on the table (display down).
I checked several times to lay it to either side and the LEDs always star blinking again..... back with the sensors up it stops after about 1 second.
So good to know!!
This should really be mentioned in the manual.
So thank you for solving my problem 😀
cheers

Mine does this too, it recorded heart rate all day without wearing it. My table all of a sudden has a heart rate. If sensors can detect a heart rate from a non living object then something is obviously wrong with the tech

I was still having a problem with sensor side up, and then I realized my leather watch band was curling over the sensor and setting it off. Flattened it out and this stopped. For anyone else not using the silicon one!
