High heart-rate notification while running

Hi everyone. Just purchased my Sense, and went on two separate runs. On both of my runs my Sense would vibrate saying that I was above my highest heart rate, I have since shut off this feature, but I got the same notification while running this morning. Has anyone else run into this issue, and how would I go about fixing it?

Hi @k_stacks09. Welcome! It's good to see a new face in the forums.

Thanks for sharing that you got the Sense and let me help you with your inquiry. Before anything else let me explain that the Sense has two types of heart rate notifications. You can get high/low heart-rate notifications to alert you when your heart rate is outside of your high or low heart rate threshold while you appear to be inactive for at least 10 minutes. These can be turned off by doing the following:

  1. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Sense.
  2. Scroll down and tap on High & Low Heart Rate.
  3. Turn off the notifications.
  4. Sync your Sense with the Fitbit app.

Additionally, it has heart-zone notifications to notify you after you enter a different heart-rate zone. These can be turned off directly on your watch by opening the Exercise app, swiping to find an exercise such as Run and tap the switch on under Heart zone notifications.

Let me know how it goes.

I get those heart rate notifications also when a Run session is Started or when Interval Training is Started. Sounds like a bug to me cause I am not being inactive there!

Those notifications are super annoying.

Cheers !

Welcome to the Community, @Grumlo.

Thanks for joining this thread, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused by those alerts. It seems you're not getting the high and low heart rate notifications since they appear while doing exercise. With this in mind, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. Open the Exercise app, swipe to find Run, Interval Training, or any other exercise.
  2. Then, swipe up and make sure Heart Rate Zone Notifications aren't turned on.
  3. Go back and open the Settings app on your Sense.
  4. Tap Goal Reminders and turn off the Active Zone Minutes goal.

Hope this helps.
