Hourly Activity data won't update correctly on Sense

Completely incomprehensible, bad display is the hourly activity indicator. I can see that I had 3 hours of activity, but not how many hours I might have missed.

For example, this is good. I see everything exactly here.

Hi, @Laszlo52 , the display shows 3 of 9 hours.  So you missed 6.

I am not talking about this. This is okay. However, the figure is completely incomprehensible. There’s an example of what it should be like (see above).

The image indicates 100% completion, although 1 hour of activity is missing.

Hi, @Laszlo52 , I would suggest removing that widget and re-adding it.  Mine is working perfectly with the number of red lines correctly reflecting the number of hours.

I did it. I'll see what happens.

I've had the same problem on mine. No matter how many times I delete and re-add the widget, it doesn't fix it. I did find that if I used the "today" screen (swiping left to see it), the Hourly Activity is correct. If I have the widget and swipe up to see the stats, it doesn't display correctly. It started happening right after the 5.1 update.

@Julia_G  Thanks for the help. Shutting down helped.

@slbertShutting down helped. Sync your data before shutting it down!

I had already tried that. It helped for a day, then it started it up again. Hope it continues to work for you.

@slbert Now it was the first ...It would probably need a factory reset, but that’s very "macabre".

After my Sense firmware was updated last week, I've also noticed that the hourly activity segments are not reset each day. For example, yesterday, I had 10 out of 10 segments marked. In the morning, before my hourly tracking starts, the segments are still marked even though I have 0 of 10. Prior to the update, these segments would reset clear every morning.

@slbert  You were right. Again, it shows badly.

I just sent a message via Twitter to fitbit support, along with the pics of the issue and the steps that I took. I don't know how long it will be before they answer, but I'll post on here if and when I get a reply and what they say.

I received a reply back from Fitbit...seems pretty basic and what I've already done but, to humor them, I've done it again.

"I appreciate all the tips that you've tried before contacting us. It's odd that the times aren't changing for the hourly activity goal. To work on this, may I know the model and OS/software version of your phone?

In the meantime, give a try to the following steps:

Log out from the Fitbit app.
Force quit the Fitbit app.
Reboot your phone.
Log back into your account and sync your Sense.
Try changing the times one more time and don't forget to sync to save the changes.
Please also provide the email address associated with your Fitbit so we can take a closer look."

If they had really read my reply, they would have seen that I already gave them my email address. I also referenced this thread so that they could see that others were having the same issue. I've re-added the widget, so I'll see if it screws up again tomorrow. I can only guess that by changing the times, they mean changing the number of active hours I have set, so I've done that too.

We'll see how it goes tomorrow...

@slbert  I don’t like to write either because of these to they, because they are very cumbersome. I write almost everything, and then I am asked again what I have already described.

Hi, all, I have reported this as a bug, so hopefully the engineering team will soon be having a look and getting it fixed.

Thanks Julia.

I tried what I was asked to do, which worked...until midnight. Then it went back to showing incorrectly again. Hopefully, the engineers can figure out what is going on.

Hi everyone. It's great to see you participating in the forums. @Julia_G, thanks for your help and heads up!

Thanks for reporting this issue with the Hourly Activity stat on your Sense and for every step tried. I understand how helpful it's for you to have this data displayed correctly and I've forwarded this situation to our team so they further investigate. In the meantime, please continue syncing your watches and keeping the Fitbit app updated so your data can update correctly in the Fitbit app. Once I have more details I'll update this thread.

See you around.

@LizzyFitbit   This is also an issue with the Versa 3.  This is no surprise, since it has the same OS.
