How do I turn off random tips on Sense?

How do you turn off the random tips that come up under the notifications on the fitbit sense? I tried looking into the health and wellness notifications, which were already disabled. An example of one of the notifications is "Put your records on! Music motivates you to move, helping you score more Active Zone Minutes." They come up about 2-3 times a day, usually around 10am and 4pm.

Accepted Solutions

I was able to turn off the notifications after a recent app update. Under health and wellness reminders on the app, there is now an area that says, " activity, get your heart pumping" that I was able to uncheck. This seems to be a new addition that was not accessible previously.

Forgive me if I mislead you but try

clicking on your icon top left of your today landing page,  then “notifications”, then under push notifications  turn off “programs”.  See if that works

maybe go to your phone settings, notifications then that app and turn off the notifications that way.

another maybe :

I tried your suggestion, but I still received the notification throughout the day.

Have you tried the suggestion in this thread?

I am not getting the notifications and mine is unchecked.

Yes, I've unfortunately read that thread already and checked to make sure the health and wellness notifications were turned off. I never turned them on and they were unchecked. These notifications seem to be different from the "health and wellness" notifications.

I believe your talking about the notification banner at top of the fitbit app it frustrating for me also as it almost refuses to leave no matter how manny times you press the X in the right corner I think the company desperate for votes because the only solution i found is you vote yes or no and then hit the X and it goes away I started seeing these about 10-15 days ago

Best Answer

No those are not the notifications I am talking about. They show up on my sense band similar to the way text message notifications do. If I swipe down, they are under the notification center.

Welcome, @agumber. It's good to see a new face around the forums. @Clove6060 and @Converse Thanks for your awesome help.

@agumber Thanks for the details provided, and for your efforts while troubleshooting your Sense on your own. It's odd that you keep getting those tips even after turning off the Health and Wellness notifications. Given this situation, I'd recommend reconnecting your watch to your account so we can refresh its settings:

  1. Remove your Sense from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Restart your watch.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  5. Select your Sense, tap Replace Device and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I've tried this. It did not work. From looking at other threads, there seem to be others with the same issue that no one has resolved.

These are photos of the notifications I am receiving. It repeats the same three notifications everyday.

I just did the update today.  Read your post. Went into health and wellness to see if I had “activity get your heart pumping” and did not see it. I logged out of the app. Logged back in. Checked health and wellness again and there it was. Btw, I never had it before the upgrade either. Interesting
