How do Sense detect country for ECG app activation ?

It's depend on which country we bought the Sense or which country we first connect iPhone to the Sense?

Question - the ECG app will be available based on the country where I've bought the Sense OR the country to which my account is set-up?

I'll give a simple example. I've made this account in Romania. Now I'm in Taiwan. I'll buy the Sense in Taiwan. As far as I know, the ECG app is not cleared in Taiwan. So when I'll buy the Sense, I'll not get access to it unless someone tells me that changing the country in the app makes a difference.

Please let me know as if this is not available, I don't wish to purchase the Sense at this time. Thank you.

I imagine it will go by whichever country/language is set in your profile. It usually seems to be the case regarding region specific features eg. Alexa.

With the Apple Watch it is a lot more complex. I honestly don't know if I should order or not. I have the Versa 2. The ECG makes it worth updating, but only if it works. Can someone from FitBit confirm?

I don't think you'll get much response from Fitbit other than saying it will only work in some countries. It's unlikely they are going to reveal/confirm how the region locking works.

You use the Fibit app more than likely.  Your phone has GPS and location and so does the Sense device. They know where you are, and if they don't Google and Apple do.

I bought my sense in Canada but my profile is Italian.

I found ECG app 2/3 days after i came back to Italy(didn't check the first day so can't say if it was there immediately or it took a bit to update the location).

Not sure what will happen when i go back in Canada but i'm not using it too much except for the first few days to do some tests.
