Hello
so i have bought the new Sense which i like minus the few flaws and glitches that it has (fitbit pay)
i already opted for a replacement but this thing I'm noticing is that my BMR is 2032 calories a day and everytime i go for a brisk walk and start a workout program through the GPS it reads that i have burned above 750 calories or even 850 calories sometimes with only 1 hour or brisk walking , i'm not sure if this sounds correct i feel like it's calculating more calories burned than it should.
Does anyone encounter the same problem ? or if is it even a problem to begin with?
Regards
Fayde

If you don't mind (I know, this is.a sensitive question)... how much do you weigh? If you are overweight, your heart rate is higher and you will burn a lot of calories in an hours walk. The paradox about the human body is that the more fit you are the harder it is to burn calories.
But an hours walk? If it's brisk and has changes in elevation, yeah - I can see a 750 calorie burn if you are overweight. If you aren't then it might be wrong (Or it might just mean your heart is pumping hard anyway). There are a lot of variables in that and so it's really hard to say.

I don't mind answering yes i am overweight (need to lose about 40 pounds)
walked an hour for 5.22 KMs my pace was averaging 12"01
my heart zones went into cardio 61% of the time , 6% fat burn and 32% below zones
my average heart rate was at 134 BPM - max BPM was at 158.
i don't know if it's still normal at my condition

Pretty likely that your issue is the widely-reported problem with HR monitoring... HR reads high while you're walking, and thus it overestimates caloric burn.
