Is Google Assistant available in Canada?

I have fitbit sense and just updated it. although Google assistant does appear in voice assistants, it says it's not available in my region. 

I am in Canada and Fitbit website says google assistant will be available in Canada

Can walk me through the steps to connect it? I've tried everything.
Resetting google, reinstalling google on my phone. Reinstall fitbit app...
everything. And I'm using a note 20 ultra with the sense.

As I recollect there was no difficulty once it became available. On the
Fitbit app I clicked on my Fitbit Sense and selected the Assistant option
then selected Google Assistant. When it was permitted in Canada everything
went smoothly.

Just in case you didn't, make sure your software is the latest update.
Another thing I heard was that not all phones were compatible.
