Keep getting couldn't read SpO2 on Sense

I've had my Fitbit sense since September 26th and have been using the sp02 watch face. I have been getting a "couldn't read Sp02" error since then. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app along with rebooting my Sense. I've been getting quality sleep and this issue still persists.

Same here. It worked for the first four nights and now it's saying "couldn't read Sp02".

That's odd. I have no problem with it reading my SPO2... I's suggest that there are two possibilities here : 1, the Sense you have is faulty or 2, your body simply is outside of the norms it expects to be able to read.

If I had my guess, I'd assume the first option - get in contact with fitbit and see if they have a fix or replacement.

Both the Ionic and Versa forums have quite a few people reporting the same problem so I suspect a third possibility is more likely: there is (yet another) bug in the clock face, OS, or app.

cant understand why you have to use a watch face to see the SP02 doesnt make sense

Does anyone else still have this issue and if not,how was it resolved. I've got the clock face,I've had the sense for about 2 weeks now,and the last 3 days it keeps saying it couldn't record Sp02. Nothing is different about my sleep, I'm sleeping really well, temperature isn't insanely cold (I know that all Sp02 meters have a problem when the skin is very cold) but it just won't show up anymore.

Very disappointing. The Sp02 meter and the ECG are the reason I upgraded. If it doesn't function I could've also gone with a WAY cheaper off brand one that only does ECG or just kept my old Charge2.

What country are you in? Both work here for me. My understanding is it registers SPO2 with or with out the face but you need the face to see an actual reading. But it's tied in with sleep info. I could be wrong. I switch at night just in case.

I have the same problem.  So far most of the features the Sense was supposed to have that the Versa did not have seem not live up to the expectations

I own the sense since Sept 25. I installed the SPO2 clock face. It was working fine until the last week or so.

Sometimes it would not just show anything after waiting for many hours.

Lately it has been displaying the message "Couldn't read SPO2".

THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE WATCH. THE COMPETING PRODUCTS (APPLE...) HAVE NO SUCH ISSUES.

Fitbit should fix this! Why do they stay silent????

Frustrated..

I’m also having the issue after it’s worked for over a month, now it hasn’t worked for the past 3 days. I was wondering if maybe it’s dirty.  I’ll try cleaning it and see if that helps.

Yes this is a common well known issue with Fitbit watches only, apparently its very difficult for their engineer to figure out how to get a SpO2 number.  They have been struggling at this problem for several months now.

Cleaned it last night and my wrist.  Didn’t help.  ☹️

I have only had my Fitbit Sense for 11 days, but have had problems with Sp02 readings.  I have the watch face installed, but have only had readings on three of the ten nights.  Most mornings I too receive the message "couldn't read Sp02.  It would be nice if all the features that we paid for would work.
