Manual sleep adjustment

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My sense battery died this morning about an hour before I woke up (my fault). I wanted to include the extra hour in my sleep data for last night, but when I edited the sleep time to include that last hour, it's being counted as awake time. That sort of defeats the purpose of adding it. How can I get that hour to be counted as sleep time?

Unfortunately, @toucanet, you cannot manually adjust it because the watch was not able to monitor your heart rate, etc., during the time the battery was dead. Any changes you make to the sleept times during the time the battery was dead will assume you were up and about, not sleeping

@USAF-Larry Yes, that's the problem. I'm asking for a workaround that will result in the correct number of sleep hours being displayed for last night.

Also, as a feature suggestion, it doesn't seem intuitive that extending sleep when there's no data defaults the unknown time to awake time. I think it would make more sense if it defaulted to sleep, even if it can't include any details. I wouldn't need to add time to my sleep if I'd been awake.

@toucanet   I’m sorry, but there is no workaround for a dead battery.  I’m chiming in to offer advice about keeping your Sense battery healthy.  Letting the battery die decreases overall battery life.  Charging at 20-25% is better for long term battery health.

It seems like the context in this post is causing some confusion, so please disregard everything related to batteries. I don't need any help with that.

The actual question I need answered is: is there some way I can make manual adjustments so that my sleep for last night can be displayed in the app with one additional hour that was not logged by the tracker?

No, you cannot manually record your sleep pattern. If it was not tracked by the watch, it cannot be manually entered.

Your asking Fitbit to anilyze your sleep during a period when your tracker was unable to detect a heart rate.

Since the tracker was not running, no data was recorded and Fitbit has no idea what you where doing.

Open the Fitbit app on your unknown phone.

Tap the sleep tile.

Tap the night in question.

Tap the edit pencil found in the top right.

Change the time of awake to whatever you want.
