Manually set time (like a real watch)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I travel a lot and like to set my watch ahead to the destination time zone (it helps me with jetlag). I don't always have or want to have my phone/tablet with me to resync the watch.

As a future feature, it would be great to have an app on the watch that lets me set the time manually.  It would also be great to be able to selectively disable time setting when syncing the watch.

My 0.02....

Oh what a great idea

I've never really thought about different time zones

Is there no settings within either the watch, app or website dashboard?

I'm surprised there's not a way to alter it without phone etc

The Sense syncs with your device, change your devices time/location and your watch will sync to the new device time? I never tried it, but assume it might work ?

Fitbit Ionic 72.1.15 (recalled), Fitbit Sense 128.6.17 and Pixel Watch 2 BP1A.250305.019.W3, March 2025.

Hi Jdsenter.. yes, that is correct that the Sense syncs with a device (phone, tablet) and whatever time the device is set to, but what I'm looking for is to disconnect the two and have an app/function on the watch where I can set the time separately from the device.  I don't always carry my phone or tablet with me, and as I'm in the plane, I'd like to set my watch to the time at my destination -- like you'd do with a regular watch.

Hi Newtripley... as far as I can find, there is no capability to change the time on the watch EXCEPT through syncing it with whatever device it's paired with.  Just like a regular watch, I'd like to just set the time on the Sense itself.

Hi @Drtolson  - you can set the time ahead of travel.

In the Fitbit App, app settings, disable automatic time zone and location and set the time zone manually and sync.

Have a look in feature suggestions for setting the time on the watch itself. Some people like it a few minutes early for instance.

Also, if for any reason you don't have an internet connection or even a phone you presumably can't change/set time on the watch.

Hi Guy_  I understand how to do it via my device, but that's exactly my point.  I DON'T want to have to sync my watch in order to reset the time/change time zone.  I want to be able to do it directly on the watch, hence my thought is that I'm requesting a new feature. 🙂

Is there a forum/thread for feature suggestions?  Found it! (Thanks)
