I have had my Fitbit sense for 2 months now and it is suddenly dead.  It will not turn on and it will not charge.  Has anyone else had this problem?  It is very disappointing since it is not very old.

Hi, @blueskysunnyday@jeinay and @Canuckkris welcome to the community, If your battery has been depleted and you are charging your device you need to leave it on charge for at least 60 minutes during which time it may appear inert. This article gives more detail Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?  . This article covers restarting How do I restart my Fitbit device. This video provides a feel for how long the process takes. I hope this is helpful, If you are still stuck please post here again.

Cheers

Actioning the button can be an issue, it has to be done exactly right.

If your watch has been on charge for at least an hour, try this method

Worn on the left arm -

rest your other thumb on the arm to the left of the watch

and forefinger on the back of the hand

and do a gentle squeeze of the watch

There also have been identified charging problems so the watch may now be flat.

Make sure the contacts are cleaned, and also try squeezing the charge block to the watch to ensure a better contact.

My Sense stopped working this month and Fitbit had me send in my watch face so they can replace it but I haven't heard from anyone since I mailed it in over a week ago.  Does anyone know where I can check the status of my case#?

 TIA

Hi @Canuckkris  generally it takes a bit longer than a week to get your device back to the warehouse and logged in. You'd need to check back with customer support. The community forums aren't able to give you any information on your case number.

I just got mine today and it would not turn on. Never made it past the language screen when it went black. Tried everything and got nothing.

The Sense is crap. I bought in October 2020. The battery last only 3 days, I don't do any activity and I've turn off calls, emails, text and others. I'm mostly stationed, so the battery should last 6 days but it drains so fast. Fitbit asked me to return for a replacement. The replacement arrived in December and the same battery problem. Didn't want to go back and forth with fitbit again. Wednesday night, before i went to bed, the battery was 54%. By 1pm Thursday, my phone was dead, the funny the thing I was in bed except when I use the bathroom. When I charged and it came on, it's 0%. Fibit should do something about the battery. Something is wrong. If I start my regular 3 hours daily walk and doing challenges, it means the battery will last a day. This is ridiculous.

@MOCarter  Ask Fitbit for NEW watch.

This is my replacement, beside I don't want them giving me a refurbished replacement. I don't think replacement is the solution. It's either its a software thing, or fitbit missed on the Sense. They just wanted to put something in the market so fast and didn't take the time to test it out.

Try the troubleshooting help and then contact fitbit support directly. I am
being sent a new Sense.

I'm in the same boat. I got mine for Christmas in December 2020. It was working great, all of the sudden, the screen is black, nothing happens when I try to charge, and it will not show up in the app, so it's not just the screen. Totally dead. I have tried to charge for a few days.

@Wuud52Did you check its actually charging, there are known faults with the charger

To see what's happening with the charge

Connect the charge cable to the watch and plug it into a PC USB port

The PC should announce a connected device with a sound, it means its connected and charging

[if there is no sound, either the volume on the PC is low, or off, or the watch is not properly connected to the charger or has a fault]

if PC then announces a disconnected device with another sound, it means the watch battery is either flat or the watch is dead

anyway wait 10 minutes [for battery to get to 5%]

if the watch or battery is not dead it will announce device connected again

[the watch may also wake up]

if after an hour there is nothing on the watch face

try starting it by pressing a button for a few seconds and waiting for the logo to appear or restarting with the buttons

if nothing comes on the screen, either there is a screen or button fault or the watch is dead  - but wait

Check the button start procedure, for Sense and Versa 3 especially, to make sure you are actioning it properly, and for other Versa that the button clicks
