My Fitbit Sense is dead

I have had my Fitbit sense for 2 months now and it is suddenly dead.  It will not turn on and it will not charge.  Has anyone else had this problem?  It is very disappointing since it is not very old.

Try resetting the Fitbit to the factory settings. If that doesn’t work,
then delete the app from your phone and reinstall it. --

@blueskysunnyday I wonder how can one do factory settings when the device is dead and doesn’t respond? 🙂

I'm having the same problem...I just got mine in November. It stopped one day at work- all I could see was the fitbit logo.  I've tried charging it and that didn't change anything.  Tried letting it die and then charge and this didn't help either.  I'm going to contact fitbit.

Hi @Hurb44  - did any of the solutions posted on this topic work?

What was the reason it stopped working? Did it get wet?

Did you get a replacement charge cable or watch under warranty?

Mine has been working fine. I don't remember what I did. I must have
called and they talked me thru it to get it back.

I got a replacement pebble. So all good for now. I hope this one doesn't die on me soon coz i wont have a warranty after this year..

But if it does, Im switching brands for good. It would be a shame if this will be the last fitbit i own. (i previously owned 3 of them, and every member in my family uses fitbit devices too. We really did love fitbit). I still have my old Blaze which i gave to my teenager, and i found the blaze more stable than the Sense..

Unfortunately for me mine died after the warranty period.

Best Answer

@Tjune-  you can still buy a new charge cable for a few dollars online, if that is the cause [probably].

The watch went dead after my my warranty, and I was told they cannot do a
replacement, and they do not have parts or specific techs in my country.
Best Answer

@Tjune- watches are neither repaired or replaced outside warranty which may be 1 or 2 years depending on country law.

A watch which is not charged will be dead.

It will need a working charge cable to charge it or it may only need cleaning, see

How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen

If it dies within two months to one year of life and when a faulty charger is not the cause, it could die soon after the warranty period too.

It is tough luck if so and indeed the Sense is an expensive model to have a life span of less than 2 yrs.. (or 1 yr depending on where you buy it from)

Still it is worth checking with another charger just in case.. before giving up on it totally..

good luck
