New Heart Rate Test

The Quantified Scientist made new heart rate tests in July 2021: https://youtu.be/qt7hBdddCrw

unfortunately the results are still very bad for such an espensive watch, especially for weight training. It wa mentioned in the video that most watches perform bad in that category. In order to improve that issue, I would like to be able to connect a chest sensor to my Sense.

Yes I also watched this earlier and am a fan of his videos. It's rather disappointing that it appears little progress has been made with this, especially seeing as the device is almost a year old.

Thank you for the link. Felt depressed and disappointed after watching this video. HR still substandard albeit some improvements after firmware updates.

Overall, still disappointing results. I wonder how does Fitbit respond to these videos/tests or do they even bother acknowledging these results.

Since the beginning I found huge issues on HR sensor on Sense at the point that I didn't use it any longer. The issue is a showstopper as many data are derived from the HR sensor hence the Sense was definitely not fit for purpose.

Unfortunately Fitbit never made an official statement and rather blamed the user on not following the instructions. Let me be clear, this is an issue that is devastating, we are not speaking about a minor issue but the paramount of the essence of a Fitbit device. This can be compared to the antenna-gate that hit iPhone (4? 6?) and even Apple (that never apologizes) was forced to pubblicly recognize the problem and provide free of charge a correction on the issue. However Fitbit has been always silent.

For months I thought that the problem might be software but at this time I start to have some doubtst. So here, after nearly one year since the release of the products (let's remember that Versa 3 shares the same problem) we are in front of 2 possibilities:

1) the fault is in the hardware and Fitbit can't solve the problem with a software update.

2) the fault is on software/firmware but, thinking positively, Fitbit doesn't have any clue/resources how to solve it.

In both cases we are in front of a devastating loss of credibility for Fitbit, I would really like that some top management come forward and explain the situation.
