I set up the device lock to `Enabled (Recommended)`. It explicitly says "Enter PIN if you take off the device or every 24 hours"
When I take it off, it turns off (and I see the green lights on the back are off). If I then tap the screen, everything is still accessible without a PIN.
Why isn't this working??

Yeah, they said they would record this as a bug for devs.
Though I'm a bit suspicious that it might be my hardware.. is the same behavior with other people's Sense, too?

Same thing with my Fitbit sense. Got it as a Christmas gift. I noticed in January, this month, that my watch never asked for PIN#. I do not keep watch on all the time. Numerous calls with FitBit customer service, Factory reset done, re-sets done, a lot of syncs and nothing work. I asked for a replacement Fitbit sense which I got, and the new Fitbit sense does not ask for pin when I put my watch on. So much for security safety.

Best AnswerMine eventually started asking for it, I think after I opened & closed every app on the watch. I didn't want to reset the device just to retest it, but try that.
If it doesn't work, maybe some extra app I installed did the trick.
Please reply here whether that helped or not

I can demonstrate the pin request consistently works for me if I take off my watch, let it sit for 2 seconds, put it back on, wake up the screen, and swipe down for notifications.

When I take my fitbit sense watch off my wrist, the green light behind the tracker is still on. Is that supposed to be that way? Thanks
Not working for me, but thank you

Best Answer@Psalm1from what i can tell, it depends what you do with the watch after taking it off. If it's placed on a light colored surface, it keeps trying to detect the arm. If the green LED faces up or placed on a dark surface, it'll turn off quickly.
Either way, the PIN is requested, even if the LED didn't turn off completely
Best AnswerThank you. I placed the watch on a darker surface and the LED light stopped blinking. Unfortunately it fails to ask for pin # every time I put my watch on. Thanks for your help.

Yes the lights are still on for me as well. It turns off eventually after a little time.

Try installing these apps:
"QR Codes" by Brian Ouelette
"Image viewer" by Maurizio Fazio
Then open each of them on the watch.
See if that does anything for the PIN
Thank you, unfortunately those apps did not help me. I installed those apps, synched, and no request for pin when I put my watch back on. Maybe the problem is with the latest software updates
