Sence exercise auto shut off

When I go for a walk the sense automatically logs the walk as exercise as long as I exceed my 10 minutes setting for auto recognize. And it turns off automatically when I stop walking. However, if I use the exercise feature for walking and turn it on manually then forget to turn it off the sense doesn't have the smarts to recognize when I've stopped. I'm not sure why this is. Is there any way to have it auto stop when I stop walking? Also why have both features? It just makes things confusing as it doesn't seem to be a big difference between the two.

@DMel08 If you track activity manually, Sense will not terminate it on its own. That probably would be very inconvenient for many users. Ideally, Fitbit should provide an editing option in the app or dashboard to trim the activity. I turn off automatic recognition for anything else but Walk. Everything else I track from the Exercise app. It makes sense to have both options. Some people prefer when the watch will do the whole job (which is risky as auto-recognition may fail or detect wrong activity) but if you care more about tracking something then you'd rather use the Exercise app. The main difference is that with the Exercise app you decide when to start/stop the activity and you have several more features available like real-time metrics, laps, GPS, etc. So the difference is quite big from the user's perspective.
