Update 11/25/2020: OS 5.1 (44.128.4.15) is now be available to all customers. If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist.
Announcing the release of Fitbit OS Firmware Update 5.1 (44.128.4.15)!
We release firmware updates to all customers in phases. The update will be available to everyone soon, and a banner will appear in the app when you can install the update. If you don’t see the banner yet, check the app again later.
Important Note: You will need to be on the latest app: iOS 3.34 or Android 3.34.1 in order to view the latest features. Please update your app.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

Got pop-up on my phone telling me to go to Fitbit app and download new update. Tried everything from checking for new update in the app, to playstore and uninstalling app and reinstalling. Nothing worked. So, I come on here and I see that many people cannot get the app. I am not sure what is going on. I have received this pop-up twice and it does not have an installation button. It tells me to download from the app.
Am I missing something?

I saw the same thing. I don't know why Fitbit is pushing the "update" message if we can't actually update.

Did you put your watch on charger to update?

Yes, left it on for about an hour. Still will not update. Also restarted Sense while it was plugged into charger and still nothing.

@Deechte You can increase and decrease the volume on the device itself, but the maximum isn't very loud. In most instances you'll need to have the device up against your ear.

OK thanks. The volume up button on your phone doesn't increase the upper limit then?

Got me thinking "Should I return my Active Watch 2 and keep the Sense?" I don't really know. Calls on the Active Watch 2 sounded good for a watch to me plus you can make and take calls. And the better notifications. So I don't know if I'll keep this Sense or not.. If I would've had to pay full price for the Sense it would definitely be going back. It's 2020 and the Flagship Sense can do what? But I was lucky enough to be able to get two for the price of one.

@Deechte I haven't tried it yet for a call, but I will give it a go next time and report back. Obviously Alexa's volume can only be controlled on the device itself, and maximum isn't great.

Yeah... Fitbit doesn't seem to understand how to rollout updates or when to send emails properly. They are doing some staged rollout crap and you can't force the update by telling it to check. Constantly disappointing it's users is what they are best at.

Give her another go!
That is good to hear. The main reason I got it.
I don't use my phone for calls, why would I want it on my watch!
Everyone else, chill this is how fitbit has always rolled out its updates.

I don't understand why it takes that long to release an update, Apple, Google, Garmin...they announce an update and then everybody can get it. There is absolutely no reason fitbit can not do the same. To role this out in waves to make sure there are no major issues indicates very little trust in their firmware.

It's 2020 and we are waiting at least 1 week for a software update ... A SOFTWARE UPDATE, lol.
And there is no possibility to update your device manually by downloading the firmare update to your computer and update via usb ... in 2020...

Even their SpO2 value takes a whole night +1hr of processing, no suprises that patches take months to reach everyone.

You'll need to open app & Select sense & the Banner is suppose to show there! That's how it worked on my Versa 2 & according everything I've read it's the same! I'm still waiting for it to show on mine! Can't wait to get it tho! Like to see it soon!

You'll get it eventually, lots of us waiting to get it! Fitbit does a slow roll out! My fitbit Versa 2 was suppose to get update when first got it took couple weeks! So I'm thinking the roll out for Sense will take that long also! The techs I've talked to say it is rolling out in US but it will take several days before everyone sees it! Don't know how it's determined who gets first or whether it's based on purchase date or what, No one will answer that question!

Would like to use it as a blood pressure monitor, but where do I go or which app do I need to download?
Thanks in advance
PS: 27hrs with it and loving it

Fully agree Neil. My main reason for buying the Sense is tracking my exercises and health so hr accuracy is key. No problem to wait a few days or more, as long as it is fixed!
