Update 6/14/2021:
This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist.
We’re excited to announce that a firmware update for Sense will be available soon! Some of you may already have this update available - if you installed it, let us know what you think!
If you don’t see the update yet, that’s expected. Check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We expect everyone to receive the update in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
Did you know that we gradually release our updates? We do this to make sure everything is working just right for you. Sometimes we find an issue and it might take a little longer than expected for everyone to get the update. While you might see suggestions on how to “force” an update, we ask that you don’t try any of these workarounds. Most of the time the update won’t be available and you can lose data or encounter other difficulties. The best way to get the update is to be patient and wait for the update banner to appear in the Fitbit app.

Hi,
I've recently updated the watch firmware, and my watch is fully charged. The swiping is often not perfect, but today every time I try to swipe to see my step count, heart rate etc the screen goes black. I can't access any data, and I've tried fiddling with the settings to see if that helps to no avail.

After checking for updates in the app daily since this thread started, it finally popped up for me today.
Audio Feedback was turned on automatically.
Curious to see if I run into any battery issues or other issues. It's connected to an Android device.

It has appeared on my one too. However I have decided NOT to update it right now and wait

Sense restarts if any workout is going on and you try to synch it with Fitbit app on Iphone.

I've been experiencing the same exact issue - both running and walking.
Have you been able to fix it?
I haven't tried a Factory Reset yet...

Had an update today for my Sense and now my ECG app is missing from my device. How do I fix this?

No. I simply don’t have the app open but it is set to Always for location

Sense updated at around 0430HRS this morning with 80% battery charge on the watch, it's is now 1200HRS (noon) and still left with 66% charge. Sense was used for one hour with running exercise and GPS on.
All notifications are enable and bluetooth remained connected since the update.
No factory reset done on the watch and FitBit app is the most current version.
Let's see how the battery holds up. So far, it appears to be normal power consumption. Crossing my fingers for no issues.

After the first 12 hours with the new firmware I have found no issues. The power consumption seems normal to me. I'm happy that we finally have audio feedback, although it's now 9 (!) months after launch.
I haven't done a factory reset and I sync with an Android device.
I'm a tiny bit disappointed though that I still cannot make outgoing phone calls from the wrist with the audio coming from the Sense. That seems like a small step to make, considering we now have audio feedback and incoming phone calls from the wrist.

Just installed the firmware update. And also figured out my SpO2 wasn't working - I didn't turn on all the permissions which are off by default. Once I gave the clock face permission, SpO2 started showing up on the clock face. However, this morning the SpO2 is just a blank. I rebooted phone and watch and it's still blank. I read the maybe loosening the band will help - that didn't work for me either. Anybody know what's going on? Seems like Sp02 is a flakey feature.

Deleted, got the firmware and the HR seems fishy at certain exercises compared to old firmware. Anyone else seen a change in the HR when it comes to burst activities such as climbing a hill or taking pushups?

After the last firmware update my sense doesn't recognize the automatic exercises anymore... Anyone an idea what can help?

Why hasn't the heart rate been fixed?
It's been an issue acknowledged by Fitbit, and the new update still hasn't addressed this.
Makes me feel like this is actually a hardware issue and there is no fix.
This was a response on March 10th, after receiving a replacement that still didn't fix the issues:
Upon review, we can confirm that this issue is currently an on-going issue with Sense. We’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.
We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

Just a general post to express I’m very disappointed in this last update.
I was really hoping the bug of requiring you to not got to bed before 8pm to get a stress management score would be fixed. I had hopes, but considering this goes back to 2020 and many people have complained about it, I guess I doesn’t surprise me. Not very good at addressing customer opinion are we Fitbit?
I wake up at 4am to get ready for work so naturally I try to be asleep before 8pm.. but even if you follow all the other requirements, you still will not receive a stress management score. To be honest Fitbit, this makes me feel like some working outcast misfit that doesn’t fit into your defined norm. It feels very non-inclusive to people who work early shifts. I bought this watch for use of features like this and I would like to be able to go to bed when I wish and still get a stress management score. Seems only fair.
Other than that the heart rate monitor is still as wonky as ever.. going up and down, not recording high heart rate properly and telling me I’m getting cardio when I’m at resting.
Sincerely looking forward to the time I can have a positive post, not just sharing disappointment and dissatisfaction with this expensive, wonky, unfinished product.

I was hoping for an update on the heart rate issues that have been posted by a lot of Sense users. Personally, I don't think my Sense tracks my heart rate well.
Reading all the heart rate issues is making me reconsider other options for a health tracker, coupled with the upcoming Google's WearOS that was mentioned some time ago.

I will try and make a few tests today, the new firmware HR readings seems fine when I am at rest or running.
However initial trials with high resistance exercises it acted off, i.e. where my heart starts beating hard to keep up with the sudden demand for oxygen, like walking up a steep hill at a brisk speed feeling the legs getting full of acid, or dropping down for pushups. HR will drop on Sense instead of rising.
If I start jogging gradually while out walking it has no problems keeping track of the HR.
Here is a reading at rest today, 61 on both HR strap and fitbit. I have not restarted, done any factory reset etc. after the firmware update. No battery drain, and if anything, it seems to be drawing less power.
