Sense High heart rate when I'm inactive

So I've had my Fitbit sense for a little while now (4 months) and I'm having a peculiar issue. At random moments during the day when I'm not doing anything my heart rate just spikes like crazy. For example yesterday I was just sitting in the passenger seat of our car for an hour drive and my HR was between 110-150 the for at least 45 minutes.

Now this would seem slightly worrying, if it wasn't for the fact that when I take my pulse this does not seem to fit what is actually happening. Moreover I've also compared the HR with a pulse oxygen device and during these spikes they seem very far apart (like even 60-80 to the Sense's 110+). Has anyone had similar issues? What could be going on here?

Hi @Lvsx, good to see you in the community.

To me it sounds like it could be a bug with your device.

I think the first thing to do would be to restart your Sense (press and hold the button for 10 seconds until you see the fitbit logo). Also I would use this opportunity to clean the HR sensor area with a damp cloth, just to make sure there is no debris interfering with the reading. Are you wearing the device quite snuggly or quite loose? It's best to have a snug fit so that it can get a good reading from the skin, but obviously not too tight to cause any discomfort.

Hi N8teGee,

I reset the Sense and cleaned the sensor. Let's hope that fixes it. I am wearing the device quite snuggly so that should not be an issue!

Thanks for the advice.

Sadly that didn't do the trick. Got some really weird spikes again yesterday and today. Seems to happen mostly when I'm in the car for some reason. Still doesn't match real pulse at all.
