Sense Records Sleep when Off Wrist

When I take off my watch and place it on the table, it still records a heart rate and think I went to sleep. How can I stop it from reading heart rate and sleep when it's off my wrist?

So after reading your comment, I took my watch off for a night to see what would happen. Well surprise surprise, it recorded my bedside dresser tables heart rate and even gave it a sleep score the following morning .... my dresser slept pretty good I’m sure you will be glad to know. And by chance, my dressers heart rate, and resting heart rate is almost identical to mine. Me and my dresser are total twinzies!

All jokes aside, I was gifted my Fitbit sense 3 weeks ago and I do like it, but there seems so many issues, inaccuracies etc etc. And now doing this test makes me wonder if it just throws out numbers at me for the sake of a high retail price. I mean, cmon, I can accept some inaccuracies and I can understand the sense is still learning my body and my average stats etc, but it shouldn’t be picking a heartbeat from non sentient objects. My bed, the dresser, my windowsill, it picks up numbers anywhere. Silly.
