Sense SpO2 clock faces changed last night to non-SpO2 clock faces

My wife and I both have Fitbit Sense watches and are having this issue.  The issue occurred every time the Fitbit syncs.  If you change the watchface and then tell it to sync, right after the sync completes you will feel the watch vibrate and the watchface will revert back to the default.

Yes. It keeps changing clock faces. It’s so frustrating. The new update seems to have started this.

I tried both. Nothing works. It keeps changing back.

Same here, SpO2 keeps resetting once synced. Started happening today - have tried resetting and restarting both phone & watch.

The most recent update has broken clock faces. I use the SpO2 active clock face and it just switches back to the default clock face after a few mins - i think when the watch and the app sync.

I also noticed the ECG app also shows that it needs updated, even after it's been updated (multiple times).

I think fitbit need to get a fix and update the app in the app store. Until then we're all stuck with the default watch face.

Same thing started happening to my Sense this Morning, seems every time it syncs with the app it changes the clock face to Spectrum as opposed to spO2Blue.  Tried to reset everything, but still changing every time it Syncs.

I have now removed ALL clock faces except spO2Blue from my list of 5 so it has nothing else to change to.... lets see what it does now!

Update - it just did it again, but with no clock faces to choose from it shows me a blank screen with the words "CLOCK Error -  Got to the app and try another clock"

Please sort it out. spO2Blue was the only clockface that wasnt weird.

I have the same problem. Started this morning and after installing it again it gets back after a few minutes 😩

OK, Update 2 - It May have something to do with the ECG APP glitching out..... I unistalled it, re installed it ( 3 times because it kept hanging) then once it installed correctly I did an ECG check.  Ever since, my spO2Blue clock face has not changed (so far)

I also did this - I did 3 ECG Checks, changed the clock back.....this didn't work and the clock and ECG app again went AWOL.

Happening to me too, very frustrating

Also happening to me.  I use the SPO2 Signature clock.  Keeps defaulting to the default clock.  In order to get the SPO2 signature clock back, I have to add a completely different clock (any seem to do the trick), wait for it to install, and then reinstall SPO2 Signature.  Done this at least 3-4 times in the past 12 hours.  Very frustrating.

I have performed the actions LizzyFitbit specified, but honestly am not expecting them to make much of a difference.  I had already performed all those steps with the exception of restarting my fitbit sense probably twice already.

I have updated the ECG app and it seems to have fixed the issue. It's a little random that an unrelated app has affected the clock faces but thanks to the suggestion earlier on in the thread, mine seems to be fixed now - the standard Fitbit response of resetting Bluetooth didn't work for me.

This is my updated post about how mine got fixed......

UPDATE-1:45 pm EST....before I called Support. I went into my phone app and saw that the ECG said update.( it was not there last night when I checked my apps)  I updated that and it reappeared on my watch as last night it disappeared when everything went screwy. Called support about watch face changing on it's own.

First thing he said was go into phone app and update ECG. Told him I already did that. Then All we did is Held the side button for 10 secs until Fitbit logo appeared then went into the phone app and click on the watch face (SPO2) I had before and it changed back on my watch. It has been 15 mins and so far it hasn't changed back again as it kept doing last night. How the ECG update involves the clock face problem goodness knows but seems to.

I told him that the problem started last night out of the blue for a lot of people and if he went on the forum he could see for himself. He said support has not received any alert about the problem and all he can do is work with my particular problem. Towards the end of our call he said support did just get alert about the problem and the work around was exactly what we just did to fix it. I hope it worked for the long haul and this actually fixed it. Time will tell. Hope this helps. If the problem happens again I will update again. Now 2 hours later and seems to still be working.

Edited: Now 2 days later and still working. 🙂

Try restarting your phone then recheck ECG app to see if it needs updating then if it does do that then go into fitbit app on phone and try changing the clock there under clocks. Good luck!

@NJerseygirl  Thank you for your reply and update.

I appreciate that you shared your experiences with Support.

To everybody who tried the restart and it didn't help:

  • Please make sure to have the latest Fitbit app installed.
After your restarted your watch .
  • Go to the Fitbit app and tap on your profile picture.
  • Try to setup the watch again, as a new device, without removing your watch from the account.
  • After selecting your model, when prompted to replace the model you have please tap on yes.

Wait until your watch has been setup again and let me know how it goes.

See you around.

Hi, I also met same problems starting from yesterday morning.

But according to the advise in the latest post by NJerseygirl , it seems to work now, my SPO2 clock face lasting for about hours and through at least 3 time of sync.

Hope this could help.

Thanks

Eventually after many calling support they did get an alert on the problem. See my post above how mine was fixed. At end of our call support told me they just got an alert so everyone calling did work and they figured out the workaround. But thank you for always being here to help us all no matter what! Appreciate you!
