The Sense wallet continues to block the screen functionality when trying to use the watch. If you set up a wallet, it will display the card at various times; if you remove your wallet data, it then hounds you to setup the wallet. This is lazy programming and degrades the functionality of the watch. This needs to be able to be disabled in the settings. The watch is setup to be a useful piece of technology, not an advertisement platform. Fix this Fitbit.
and in general, your watches are superior to what is on the market, too bad your programming doesn't match that superiority.

Yes if the watch is told to bring up Fitbit pay, it will ask you to set it up.
Under settings - shortcuts - you can make it so the wallet can not pop up.
Now go to Fitbit app. Sense. Apps, remove the wallet. You will not be able to access the wallet from your wrist.
Some days I use the multiple times, from buying gas to groceries, clothing, or coffee. Love it.
I have 2 cards in my wallet and haven't experienced any card popup issues.
If you haven't put in a pin, the cards should not popup.
I have the pin set only for Fitbit pay, so this may be why I haven't experienced this.
Really the only reason for the hounding is if you bring up the Fitbit pay option.
My suggestion would be to go into the Sense settings and set up the double tap and button hold so that there isn't the option to choose Fitbit pay.
Best AnswerOn the Sense and Versa 3 we have two different shortcut modes with the Button. I'm not sure why it wasn't tired.
Holding in the button brings up one menu while a double tap brings up a second menu as explained in the user manual and online guide.
Through the tracker's settings, shortcuts these can be customized to the users preference.
Best AnswerNo it is not the only reason for the "hounding" - often when I roll my wrist expecting to get the clock face, I get the "Set up wallet" screen randomly and have to press the side button to get the clock face.

Wallet doesn't show up either on list of My Apps or on All Apps so I cannot remove it? I have no interest in using the feature so would love to remove it.
I've been in the middle of taking vital signs on a patient and this stupid wallet set-up warning pops up. I have to stop what I'm doing, take my latex gloves off, reset the watch, then re-glove. This is a pain during covid! I've also been in the middle of the woods taking trees down and I have to set the saw down, whip off my gloves, and reset, all in 10-degree weather. To whoever thought this was a good idea: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
If FitBit does not fix this, my Sense will be the last Fitbit I buy for myself or anyone else. They have too much competition now.
The only way to wipe this out is to do a factory reset on your watch; I did that and it removed it. As far was what they were thinking? They weren't. This is the typical lazy programming all these companies do anymore. They get close, then release the product and assume they will fix it later. They never do, but they get their sales money and just end up not caring. Functionality is always best in the minute details, something no company rarely puts time and effort into. We just have to live with it or stop purchasing their products.
@ParagonOpus1 Sadly it does seems to be lots of lazy and just bad programming done by Fitbit when it come to the Sence watch and Fitbit app. So many problems its just 😞
When you have the wallet set up. There are one of two ways, based on the users settings, that wallet can be activated.
Either by holding in the side button, or a double tap of the button to bring up the list of quick apps, then a tap on the wallet app.
I haven't tried removing the cards and this may be why a user is prompted to setup the wallet. The tracker is aware that the user has started to setup the wallet and simply prompting the user to finish the setup, a factory reset may be needed.
Maybe before trying a factory reset, try removing the wallet from the quick settings.
Best Answer@kimwlas have you contacted your financial institutions? They, if the want to, have the ability to add fitbit pay. Fitbit is not able to add any bank, the banks have to add fitbit.
Best AnswerI think I found a fix based loosely on another reply. Go to settings on the fitbit Sense. In the settings, there is a 'shortcut' for press and hold. It has a default setting for the fitbit pay. Change the setting to anything you like - I picked 'today'.
I agree. This feels very lazy.
Someone did mention the fix below, and I found as well - on the smart watch itself, open settings and click shortcuts. Find the shortcut that says “press and hold” and change it to “Today”.
resolved the issue for me without have to factory reset.
Yes called my bank and got them to enable the wallet. It doesn’t work and shame on Fitbit for making it so hard to add to payment to your watch. Paid too much money for this not to work properly. Fitbit needs to fix this!!!!
