Hi there,

Our team has released the new Fitbit iOS App 3.43 version and it should be available for all of you. Please make sure to download it from the App store as this will resolve the battery short life issues experienced on your Sense. Take in mind that this and future Fitbit app versions will require iOS 13.4+.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your continued reports.

Our team is aware of the Sense not holding charge when syncing with iOS devices and they're working to bring a fix as soon as possible. In the meantime, we recommend force quitting the Fitbit app on your iOS devices to prevent the battery from draining when syncing.

I've moved your posts to this thread so we can keep our team informed of this situation. Your patience is truly appreciated and please know your feedback hasn't gone unnoticed.

See you around.

Came here to say this. Downloaded it last night. Battery died at 3 am when I went to bed with a 80% charge. Charged to 100% this morning. Died before I got off work at 5 pm. Came to the forum to learn what I suspected—it was the update. But I’m completely livid to find that this problem has been around for a week and I get notified to download it last night.

Just performed the iOS update 2 days ago unfortunately, battery not lasting more than 12 hours after charge now. I’m reading this is a current issue. Can someone clarify if the factory reset resolved the issue as to allowing bluegill to be on? I use for sleep analytics mostly so if it’s not Bluetoothed my issue isn’t really solved. Thanks!!

Yes, that resolves the issue. Plus turning off bluetooth.

I probably worded my question wrong. I want to use my sense like always, tracking sleep, steps, calories, etc. I don’t believe that can happen with Bluetooth off, correct?
so the reset doesn’t repair the battery draining issue if I want to use my sense to track data.

For what it's worth, I just deleted the app from my phone yesterday and that has improved things on the watch. It's a horrible solution, but at least the watch isn't useless now. I would like to know how a fix is being communicated to users. I've had a really good run with my Fitbit, preferring it to the Apple Watch and other options I've tried. But if this isn't resolved soon, I'm going to have to return it and find an alternative.

I updated my app last night and that seemed to solve the problem.

Was this issue ever resolved? The last post I see is from June 07.  I am charging mine twice a day and plan on carrying a battery pack when I am out of the house.

I don’t think so. I had to charge mine twice today. This is absolutely ridiculous. My sense is only two months old. I’m definitely considering getting rid of it and buying an Apple Watch.

So it appears this problem has been going on for longer than expected. do you guys have a solution?  I just have not been using my Fitbit this last week due to the lack of charge. This is a little upsetting and I have spoken to your customer service twice already. I was assured that this would be taken care of quickly but now reading the comments I’m starting to see this isn’t happening in a timely manner. I am fairly confident I’m not the only consumer here who is just a little concerned with this issue not being resolved. can you please give us an update?

Along with the battery issue....The screen on my fitbit sense keeps blacking out and I have to hold the button down and restart it every time. Are others having this problem too?

I had this issue too. The factory reset seems to have resolved both problems for me.

Yes. I would notice mine not responding and then I’d see the restart. Sometimes twice a day. When my battery drained last Friday and my alarm didn’t go off and I was late for work, I called and complained and they were able to see what had happened as I had an exact time and they said they’d replace. I got my replacement today in the post however I’m worried about battery drain again!

Was reading a post and it was suggested to remove the Fitbit App and add it again. It seems to have worked. I have only lost 4% in the last 5 hours or so. Usually I would be getting a message that my battery was running low. Didn’t lose any of my data either. Keeping my fingers crossed that I still have power in the morning.
