My Fitbit Sense side button has stopped working/vibrating all of a sudden. I realised my charger was faulty and one of the prongs was pushed in a bit so I assumed that this had caused the issue and wasn't charging it properly and it was also just spontaneously turning itself off even though it said 100% charge. I bought a new charger and its powered up ok but the side butting still doesn't to work. I tried to shut it down but that didn't make any difference either. Im reluctant to try resetting it to factory settings as I will lose all my data.
Any idea of what to try next?

Hi @AstroBoy7 - it seems like you had a combination of issues.
Replacing the charge cable resolved it not charging.
The button won't work if it is not changed, and sometimes for other reasons, such as a fault or after getting wet.
Make sure to clean, particularly the button area, with rubbing alcohol sparingly.
Try an alarm set in a few minutes to check vibration is ok.
After a syncing all your data will be saved on the the servers and is therefore safe.
However there are other reasons to not do a factory reset. It may fail, if you live in the EEA not all clocks or apps can be reinstalled, if there is a hardware fault (the most likely cause) it won't resolve anything.
The button not working might not be the only symptom if there is a hardware fault.

Hi @AstroBoy7 ! Welcome to the Community ! @Guy_ I really appreciate all your support and messages !
Thanks for your post, I'm sorry to hear about the side button issue with your Sense.
Regarding the button, as Guy_ said, if you haven't already done so, I advise you to try to remove the dust or dirt using gently a toothpick or swab around the pimple. If this does not improve the button's operation, you can try cleaning out the debris using compressed air. Hold the watch at arm's length and spray once to loosen any dirt or dust that may have collected around the button.
Once done, restart your Sense by following these steps: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
