Sense display detached and stopped working

I bought a Sense about two years ago after the previous one stopped charging.  Two weeks ago, while on vacation, the display detached but continued to operate,  After two hours, it no longer functioned.

After reading posts on this site, I do not expect to get any help from Fitbit. So now I am looking for something else other than Fitbit.
