Is my Sense supposed to vibrate when I don't reach the 250 steps per hour? The flex2 does.

Only time it vibrates is to state you have so many steps left to do that hour if you already completed it there is no reminder. So I have my vibrate set to strong when I get a reminder it at 10 minutes to the end of the hour so let say it 9:50 the watch will vibrate if I hadn't already walked my 250 steps for the hour but if I did then nothing shows up (no Vibration).  But let go back a sec when it does Vibrate and tell me hay Mike you got 93 steps left when I move around and finish those 93 steps it a soft vibrate not as strong well let just say it much shorter like a quarter of a second as the first reminder. If you have the setting on in the app as CaralB suggested Tap Account > Sense, then scroll down to Reminders To Move. Make sure that is set to On.  then yes you have an issue and maybe should contact customer support. How long have you had the watch did it ever vibrate? or did it just stop?
Also check what Lizzy said on your watch itself when you swipe right you see icon with moon that is sleep make sure it not in sleep also right next to it is a icon looks like (a negative - inside a O) either one of these will turn off notification like vibration.

Here is my personal suggestions Do a Soft reboot of your watch hold side down 15 seconds until it reboots if this don't fix it do a Factory reset and then reset the whole watch. I strongly suggest turning the Vibrate to Strong. if this all fails get in contact with customer support or take the watch back to where you bought it don't say it broke just say you changed your mind and get a refund then go and buy another new one I strongly suggest buying from Costco.

Hi @CarlaBrussels and welcome to the Community Forums!  Yes, the Sense does offer Reminders To Move. To activate this, open the Fitbit app on your phone. Tap Account > Sense, then scroll down to Reminders To Move. Make sure that is set to On.

Hi Carol!
Thank you so much for answering!
But I have tried al this, and there is no vibration. I do see a message on the screen of my Sense if I happen to look at the right time. But I need a bit more than that....
I reinstalled my old Flex2 to have a reminder that buzzes. But I was hoping for more for a few hundred euros...

Hi @CarlaBrussels. It's great to see you around the forums. @SunsetRunner Thanks for your great help!

Thanks for the details provided and for the steps tried so far. Just to confirm, do you mean that your Sense won't vibrate if the 250 steps weren't completed after the reminder to move? Or is the issue with your watch not vibrating when receiving the reminder? If it's with the second one, please make sure to have turned off the Sleep Mode or DND as these settings will mute the reminders to move. To check this, swipe right from the clock face on your watch to access the quick settings and tap a setting to turn it off. Additionally, restart your Sense to refresh its performance and let me know how it goes.

This happens to me once or twice a week. Randomly, it won’t alert when I haven’t reached 250 steps. No DND or quiet times. Reminders to move is on. Soft reboot, nope. Full shutdown, nope. Did a factory reset, nope. No rhyme or reason. If I do a soft reboot 3 times in a row, it will work without issue for 2-3 days then starts again. Never had this problem with the Charge series. May be time to move to another brand.

@SunsetRunner For me, I've noticed that if I really barely moved from sitting at my desk, it doesn't notify me at all. I feel like you need to have 100 steps or less. I don't recall seeing a notification of something like "You have 150 steps left." It's kind of similar to what the marked "Best Answer" had said.

If you get the vibration alert. Press the button the side of the Sense. It will display the reminder to move and how many steps away from 250 you are. When it works, it’s a nice feature. I soft booted 3 times yesterday and it’s happened twice today. Didn’t get 250 steps at 8AM and 12 PM, so far. Shouldn’t have to babysit this thing.

@SunsetRunner Well when it vibrates I just turn my wrist because I have automatic screen on.

So I'm assuming you actually did do some steps from 8am to 12pm? Like I said, my theory is if I'm more than 100 steps to 250, it doesn't alert, which is kind of dumb.

Have a look in the gallery for clock faces that do better than a single reminder to move per hour, for example SimpleClockPro which has a continuous display of Steps This Hour along with multiple reminders.

It also has a Steps This Hour history for the whole day, along with number of active hours available on the watch face.

It should be noted that the vibration on a Sense is very poor, so easy to miss, especially if the battery level is low. Vibration just doesn't match the quality of the older watches.

@SunsetRunner So my theory is out the window because today I actually got a notification I was 212 steps away. lol

I am having the same issue. The vibrations worked up until about 5 days ago. I have restarted, checked to make sure I have the vibrations turned on, it is on strong. I have had the Sense since last October and am on my 2nd one, the first just died, and it has been one issue after another. The heartrate is inaccurate, battery only lasts a couple of days, the vibration doesn't work now, etc.  It is very frustrating to spend money on a product that has all these issues.

Hi @Tgisele  - just in case did you check your Quick Settings, swipe watch face to the right.

And make sure that sleep or do not disturb aren't accidentally enabled, if so disable them.

For your battery draining, to check it's not the watch at fault try checking How to resolve the Major issues causing short battery life
