Sense has a point scratch

I observe at the left upper corner outside (!) of the amoled panel of my new sense a shining point. I looks like a "point scratch" oder a pollution of the glass or a small speck of dust (but I believe that isn't the case). Is this something one should accept if buying a fitbit watch? I would return it, but the watch works perfectly. And that is something I cannot say about my former fitbit watches ...

Hi @asutor  from your description, it sounds like a dead pixel. I have had that on a computer monitor before. Why not ask support about it.

Fitbit customer support is doing their best, but right now be prepared for longer wait times. Please be patient. Support is limited by the number of representatives available at a given time and the hours of operation. Chat lines are open when they have live help.

No, the point is outside of the amoled display - so it isn't a dead pixel.

If it is a dot, it might be the light detector

@Rich_Laue I believe the Sense's ambient light sensor is actually behind the display and not on the bezel (I read this from an official source). So this would also rule this out.

Edit - -

This is from the Fitbit press release

"The larger AMOLED display features an integrated ambient light sensor to automatically dim the screen for easier viewing, along with an optional always-on display mode."

Hi @asutor, welcome to the Community Forums. @Odyssey13@Rich_Laue and @N8teGee, thanks for stopping by to help this member.

@asutor, thanks for bringing this to our attention and I'm sorry for the experience that you're having with your new watch. Is it possible to take a picture of your watch and attach it in your reply? This will help me to further investigate on my end. To attach a file, follow the steps described in this post.

Look forward to your response.
