Hello, I was curious if anyone has found a way to make the sleep score on the watch face? It used to show and now it is not showing anymore, but it does show in the app.

Hi @dpittser. Welcome! It's nice to see a new face around.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and confirming that the sleep score is displayed on the Fitbit app. Just to confirm, do you mean the sleep score isn't showing on the Sense clock face? Or do you refer to the Today app after swiping up? May I know the name of the clock face that you're using? If you haven't done so, please restart your watch and make sure it's syncing with the Fitbit app so your data can be updated.

I look forward to your reply.

I’m just using the clock face that came on the watch, which shows steps and heart rate and the sleep thing. It shows on the today app but not on the watch face, but if i go to today in the app and click on sleep and then close out of the app it will show up on my watch.

Hi @dpittser. It's good to see you here again.

Thanks for confirming that you're using the Spectrum clock face and for the steps tried to get the sleep score displayed. While I'm glad your details are showing correctly with the Fitbit app, your feedback will be passed along so it can help our team to work on our devices and improve your experience. Please make sure to continue syncing, and keep your watch and the Fitbit app updated.

See you around.

Affects me too

Only recently, I started having issues with sleep score not syncing to Sense's Spectrum watchface. It used to work reliably in the past.

I've found this is happening to my Sense too.

Hi @Peanuts123, welcome to the Community. @NatomCZ and @geejaytee, it's good to see here in the forums.

Thanks to all of you for your reports. Just to confirm, are you able to see your sleep stages and sleep scores on the Fitbit app? Is this affecting other stats, such as steps, distance, floors, etc? @Peanuts123 and @geejaytee, did you notice this on the Spectrum clock face?

If you've not done so, I'd recommend to restart your watch to refresh its performance. Also, please make sure your your watch is updated and syncing with the Fitbit app.

I look forward to your response.

Hi @LizzyFitbit it shows sleep stages and sleep scores on the app. But on the spectrum watch face, it doesn't show number against sleep icon. It shows steps, and heart rate but no sleep score.

Hi @LizzyFitbit, everything works fine in the app for me (sleep stages get analyzed, sleep score gets calculated, other stats show fine). All the data syncs from Sense to the app. However, as I understand, sleep data first gets synced from watch to the app, then sleep score gets calculated and during next sync, it gets uploaded back to Sense to get displayed in the Spectrum watchface.

This sync of sleep score back to the watchface sometimes failed for me and didn't show the whole day. Then next day, it synced and displayed fine. Lately, this inconvenience has been happening more frequently for me, several days in a row. Restarting the watch didn't have any effect.

However, I've noticed another frequent recommendation in the community forums, which often helps to solve some of the issues and that is logging out from the app and logging back in. All the account data is supposed to be re-read from the server. In my case, it helped, sleep score synced back after a while to the Spectrum watchface on Jan 7th and has been syncing fine since that time for the next 2 days.

Hi @LizzyFitbit, the issue keeps resurfacing. Usually, Sense syncs with the app automatically and calculated sleep score propagates back to Sense without any intervention. On 2020-01-10, I had to initiate sync manually so that data was propagated to the app and sleep score calculated (autosync did not happen for . However, it did not propagate to Sense. Synchronization appeared to work normally. However, the first syncs appeared to take unusually long time.

I tried:

  1. force-stopping the app, syncing
  2. turning bluetooth off and on, syncing
  3. restarting Sense, syncing
  4. loggin off the app, logging in, syncing

None of that helped. Sense's Spectrum watchface displayed "--" instead of sleep score. The app even showed syncing issues for couple of hours in the afternoon.

Oddly, late in the evening, the sleep score got propagated to Sense without any of my intervention.

I'm attaching link to app screenshots and watchface photos showing the timeline of my Sense's today's behavior.

Regards,

Tomas

This started happening to me on 1/14/2021. I have the Spectrum clockface. I have tried restarting my Sense, and that didn't work. Today, I have logged out and logged back into the app on my Android-based phone, and that didn't work. I finally restarted my phone, and after about five minutes, the sleep score showed up on the watch face.

@UnicornJean  seems you're right and the sleep score sync issue can be fixed by restarting the phone. Happened to me again today and as you write - it took a couple of minutes after the restart and the value synced ok to the Spectrum watchface. I tried to manually invoke sync from the app right after the phone restarted but that didn't immediately affect the sleep score value on the Sense.

I recently experienced the same issue, when I tried “today” icon on the fitbit itself, and scrolled down to the “sleep” section, then scrolled down again until I saw “open” .

I clicked open, and my iPhone peeped to open the “Sleep” screen in the application.

after that, I was able to see back my sleep score on the watch face.

This affects me too. Would love to know if there's an actual solution. Having the sleep score display always be broken is a terrible user experience.

To be clear, the sleep score calculates and displays everywhere except my watch face. It did populate normally for a while, and then just stopped. I haven't had a sleep score on my watch face for days now.

Having the same issue - sleep score hasn't showed for days, despite trying everything suggested in this forum. Frustrating. Any solution please? Thank you.

My husband and I are having the same issue with our Sense watches, which we have been using since early January 2021.  Sleep score used to show on the clock face.  Sleep score is displayed in the Fitbit app.  We use the Spectrum clock face.  The sleep score has not displayed on the clock face for weeks.  The app and watch are updated.  We have done all of the things mentioned in NatomCZ's replies.

Same issue for me except after all the troubleshooting I have the sleep score on the watch face but no sleep data on the fitbit sense app on iphone.   Which is now the opposite problem.  Any experience with solution for that?

I'm having this problem too. Just started in the last few days. Sleep score shows up just fine in the web and Android apps, but while the Spectrum clock face on the Sense watch shows time, steps, and heart rate, for sleep it just shows "--". I'm running the latest version of both Sense (44.128.417) and Android (3.39.2 Beta) software, have restarted both, resynched many times, and even tried removing and re-pairing the watch... none of that has worked.

We have not had any experience with that issue. Good luck.  The issues with the sleep score are frustrating.
