Sense not tracking most steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Over the past 2 days my Sense is barely tracking any steps at all on both the watch and app, all other funtions seem to be working properly. In a regular day I usually have between 13,000-17,000 steps but this has dropped to around 1000 each of the last two days with no change to my typical activity.  I have tryed restarting the device with no change

Same here just did 4 miles which is 11,100 steps for me.

I had 10,000 steps. Frustrating and I can’t find a way to calibrate it either.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Rp9 @Tsimmons54935.

Thanks for the details shared in your posts and for already trying to resolve the issue. I understand how you are feeling and would like to advise that factors such as device placement, dominant or non-dominant hand, and stride length affect the number of steps recorded. If you feel that your step count is inaccurate, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:

Thanks,

I appreciate the effort but this was not the issue. I have had this particular unit for about 5 months and multiple fitbits over the past many years and have not changed how I am wearing it etc. With that said it seems to be working normally again today, not sure why or how but hopefully it was a minor 2 day blip.

Should it occur again I will follow up

Thank you for your replies, @Tsimmons54935 @Rp9.

@Rp9 I appreciate the additional details and am glad to hear your watch is working normally today. I hope you continue enjoying the Fitbit experience without any issues and working on your goals.

@Tsimmons54935 I am sorry to hear the issue persists, thank you for your efforts. If you haven't done so, I recommend restarting your watch. Please also note that since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, see

Hope this helps.

I tried restarting, changing the stride, changing height but my Fitbit Sense is still not tracking all my steps. Any other suggestions?

Between this and the dreaded zone minutes, I have not figured this out and
wish I still had my old fitbit.
