is it normal that when I take a shower the display turns on and the running water switches the application?

It can happen,

 

try turning off auto wake whilst showering, or even entering sleep mode.

 

You can use

 

On the watch swipe left edge to right and

 

Make sure the middle bottom icon is greyed out or

 

the middle top icon is not greyed out

 

it might help, but don't forget to put it back after!

 

Or simply take it off when showering.

It has a touch screen and yes water plays havoc
