Unable to receive iPhone's text notifications on Fitbit Sense

I am unable to receive text notifications from my iphone X to my fitbit sense. I have tried the troubleshooting tips found here https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1979.htm?Highlight=1979#How2

Has anyone else had this problem that found a way to fix it that's not included in those steps? I have ran through them all multiple times with no luck. I get notifications for phone calls and other apps, but no texts.

@kathutch11 Thanks for stopping by!

Let me help you with your Fitbit Sense not getting text notifications from your iPhone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you clear the link between your phone and your device by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. You can retry the troubleshooting instructions here under "Why are notifications delayed or missing?".

Let me know how it goes.

I’m having this same problem. I just got the Sense and everything else works except for the text notifications. I’ve tried restarting both the Fitbit and iPhone X, forgetting the device under Bluetooth settings, doing a factory reset on the Fitbit, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, triple checked that everything is synced and system notifications are on, updated both the app and my phone. I literally can’t think of anything else to try. I’ve been a satisfied Fitbit user for about seven years now and haven’t encountered an issue like this before. I’d hate to have to consider other brands. Anything else I could possibly try?

This is what worked for me!

1. Toggle the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage.
2. Verify the `Show Previews` to be on `Always` on your phone.
