Sense won't charge

My sense has been struggling to charge. I have followed all the guidance and I have replaced the charger and no luck. I have not had it long and it should not have these issues.

Mine too!  I was able to charge it initially, but it started telling me to use a different outlet, which I did, still no luck.  I used a different USB port and it worked for a couple days then stopped.  I used another port, same thing!  At first I thought it burned the ports out but I can still use them to charge my iPhones but not my Fitbit.

Thanks for the reply.  Cleaning it was the first thing I did which didn’t work so I called cust service and they’re sending me a new cable.  I’m hoping that’s the solution.

Ha Linda yeah had good results from Fitbit quick on helping. How u go with new cable did it fix the problem with recharging as interested in knowing. Someone on forum mentioned one of pins on charger which never paid attention when first got that one pin not fully out think they said left bottom or right bottom but said it's not as high as other three but mine was very much same as all I couldn't see difference.

HiI’m still waiting for my charger cable to get here, but, I took a good look at the connection and you’re right, one pin is almost completely hidden.  One thing though, my Fitbit changed perfectly for a month before I began having problems.  I’m waiting to see if I can finally use it.  I’m expecting it to come today.

I’m also having this issue, as well as the “charging slowly, try a different outlet” message. It doesn’t matter where I plug it in though - it doesn’t seem to help. I will try cleaning the charger and the back of the phone. If that doesn’t work, I will call customer service for a new charger. I just bought this phone in September 2021, so this is not cool.

**ahem** this I understand if you had it 6months plus like sounds like most on
forum as mentioned.

But definitely if you only brought it this week something definitely isn't
right and I'd take it back to shop and ask for full replacement and if it
re happens again re take it back but also go and talk to customer support
on forum page as I can't fault them they have been fantastic regarding
mine, and ended up good outcome. Yes they still ask you try all what ask
you to try but want feedback regarding what's been tried where u found the
information regarding it.

Also I mentioned I found forum page very helpful but also said to support
team that was it something too do with new software update which I hadn't
had a chance to update due to phone dying at the start of the week. Also
said that someone actually said they noticed there charge life was becoming
shorter and it actually retriggered me to actually yes last few weeks had
recharge more than usual.

I swear on this phone it's help out massively with health issues that we
weren't able get correct readings,so as I said too them it took along time
to get and wanted but needed to save as was expensive item buy when first
arrived but worth every cent especially health people that need to observe
stuff.

But as I said the person I've been dealing with sent me link make sure I'd
done all troubleshooting, then explain done more different things tried all
plugs, but no change, never showered, been in water with it and refuse to
swim etc with it as I'm unsure how it would effect it to not willing ever
try.

But yes they have sorted mine and waiting for my result to be shipped and
sent and hopefully I'm back up running.

So take back to your shop but if happens again re take back ask for full
replacement but also speak through chat to support staff and ask to be put
through too management and they email you within 48hrs and help you till u
get it sorted.

So best of luck

Thank you for your reply.  I found the problem!  One of the tiny posts on the charger cord that attaches to the back of the Fitbit was too short!  Customer service sent me a new cord and it’s charging beautifully.

I’m so glad that you found the solution to your issue!

I cleaned the back of my watch with an old toothbrush and rubbing alcohol, and the nubs on the charger with a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol per the FitBit troubleshooting tips, and replugged it in, and it did charge to 100%. So that’s good.

I will say though that I also checked the nubs on the charger, and there is one that is way shorter than the other, so if this problem happens again, I will likely be requesting a replacement charger.

I also waited a really long time to download the FitBit update because the last time I updated my older model (I think it was a versa lite?), the screen died the next day.  (Luckily, it was still under warranty, so they sent me a new watch right away.  The customer service and turn-around time were very good.)  With this watch (the sense), the battery charging issue - with it not charging when it was plugged in - began the day after I updated the watch.  I had been getting the “charging slowly, try another outlet” message for a long time, but it always charged to 100%, even if it took a while. I think there are bugs introduced every time there is an update. Not just with FitBit, but with iPhones and anything technological.

Interesting keep it in mind as yeah same had old version but think first
Fitbit came out skinny one with the basic smart watch stuff Fitbit one or
two . But never had an issue to me so wanting this many for my health
issues and how so cool new fibulator that wasn't fully useable but
eventually would become use able. Thanks keep this in mind.
