Hi,
Just setup my new Sense. Sense Controls does not connect to my Android bluetooth (Samsung Galaxy S20). I have followed the steps mentioned here and so far, I have gone through Replace Device process 4 times and Sense Controls never connect. Should I be returning my Sense or is there something that I am missing?
Best Regards,
Ankeet
Best AnswerFollowed the steps mentioned in @LizzyFitbit 's response the fifth time and successfully connected to Sense Controls. I called from a different phone. My Fitbit did not ring, but did show a missed call (I did not answer on my cell phone either, so makes sense). About 5 minutes later, Sense Controls is disconnected and now won't reconnect. The phone and the Sense have been within 2 feet distance at all times.
Do I need to again Replace Device or just give up on the main feature I bought Sense for? Appreciate any assistance. Thank you!

Best AnswerTried all those steps 30 times on 2 separate Sense units, one bought directly from Fitbit, another from Costco, neither of which would update. They both Sync'ed ok, but wouldn't update and Neither would start. Returned both for refund. I can see one acting crazy but 2 in 3 days? Nope. Fitbit has serious firmware issues to tackle.
Best AnswerI did all of this, Plus more:
1. Cleared app cache via settings, applications menu.
2. Deleted (disconnected device from the app) so it wasn't in there anymore.
3. Uninstalled and reinstalled the APP from Play Store.
4. Then I went into the app and did the "set up new device" steps.
5. The APP told me I need to have location services on and allow the app to access location data, so I allowed that.
6. Restarted the Sense Again, searched Again, and finally it gave me a security code to connect. Verified permissions a couple more times, and SUCCESS.
Best AnswerOh yeah, and
4. (b) During the set up process, I also connected it to WiFi.
Best AnswerI have this problem at least once a month. I pretty much disconnect my watch from phone and restart like it’s a new device. Very frustrating after spending a few hundred on it. I expect it to stay connected without having to go through 10 different steps of trying to troubleshoot how to fix it
Best AnswerFor how long did it continue to work? Mine fsils weekly.
I told support (chat) I wanted a refund and they sent me to Amazon where I bought it. Good luck with that. Does Garmin have the multi-day “charge” which is one of my key reasons for going with Fitbit Versa
Best AnswerAfter spending an HOUR on chat and resetting everything but the stove, It finally connected due to an update to latest app version but then it would not synch the power level, so we did it all again including deleting app, factory reset of watch and finally got it to synch the power indicator. The issues with synching appear to be widespread on this forum. I would steer toward another manufacturer if I wasn’t already invested in this system.
Best AnswerI’ve had a sense for Christmas and the Bluetooth stops connecting. I’ve tried everything that’s been suggested. It’s been three days now and still I’m having to reconnect. It works for a bit then stops. I’m about to go back up my versa 3
Best AnswerSame problem
I had mine replaced
same problem again
