Did you try holding the side button in until the Fitbit logo appears and then release, allowing it to the process through the restart?

Hi @GradyD - if the tip from @Clove6060 doesn't work try placing it on the charger, it should start by itself.
There is another reason to place on the charger because the battery may be flat, so it can't start.
In some cases if there is a fault with the charge cable it may not even charge so you might need a new cable before it will charge and start by either method.

What does it mean when the battery is flat? I believe that is my problem.

Hi @Savannah31324 - it means the battery needs charging if the battery is flat.
It may be you have a cable fault or it needs cleaning, see tips in How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
