I have chronic pain, and occasionally take opioids. I note whenever I do, I get credit for 7 hours of sleep vs 5 hours on average when I don't. Is this an accurate measurement of sleep, or is it just that opioids cause slower respirations that my Fitbit considers to be sleep? I'm trying to maximize my sleep but I don't know how trustworthy my Fitbit is for that measurement.

Hi @jcoregon - I would trust the sleep reports on this. I, too, deal with chronic pain and have used the sleep reports to improve the quantity and quality of my sleep. It’s a good measurement. Using the reports, I was able to reduce then eliminate opioids and switch to other methods. I also use the Fitbit Relaxation app and have learned to meditate ... all to get my pain to a more manageable level. PM me if you would like to continue this discussion. I hate to put too much personal info in the public forum.
