Why is Fitbit sence sleep tracking hopeless. I brought a cheap sleep tracker to use at night and it hasn't failed me yet.

I like all the other functions on my fitbit sense, now i use the cheap one for my sleep tracking.

Hi, @Nandad, welcome, may I draw your attention to this article How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device? Once you have checked through it perhaps you could let us know where your particular problem is.

Cheers

Hi
My problem is the inconsistency of the tracking.
My bed times and wakeup times don't change.
10.30pm to 7.00am
For reference have added screenshots.

Hi
Look I'm Dyslexic and don't read articles because it won't sink in.
All i want is it to work like when i brought it in Dec 2021.
My wife has a versa 3 and has no problem with sleep tracking.
Have the same settings as hers.
Ever since fitbit came out i have upgraded every year.
This model has been the worse model I've had.
Fitbit replaced it about 6 weeks ago with no deference in tracking.
They wasn't very helpful the last time i talked to them couple of weeks ago.

Hi, @Nandad, thanks for your feedback, I note your problem. I think the first thing to try is to ask your wife to read through the article I sent previously. I appreciate the way we might make progress is to offer you a series of questions with yes/no answers, the downside is it will take a long time to make progress. Let me know what you think.

Cheers

My husband is having the same problem with his Sense. It is not tracking his sleep. I have the versa 2 and two previous models of fitbit and have never had problems. I have tried to help him with this issue and we cannot figure it out. The "article" you linked is not an article but just bullet points on how the sense tracks sleep and other sleep features. It does not address what to do if the device is not working like it should.

Hi
Thanks for reply.
This is a major problem i believe for the price we pay, there most expensive tracker.
My cheap $60 tracker hasn't failed me yet. Maybe they should invest in this company.

Hi, @lupster welcome to the community, the article provides background on how "Sleep" works and comments on set-up and how it collects data - for instance, you need to be at rest for about an hour before it recognises you are sleeping. There is also a comment about the sensitivity settings normal/sensitive differences (have you tried changing this setting) Earlier models of Fitbit devices have of course been improved upon and parallels are difficult to draw.

Allowing you have considered the article and have still not made progress can you post screenshots of what you do get in the Fitbit app "Sleep" tile.

Cheers

Hi
I've had enough of Fitbit, I'll just use my cheap $60 tracker it does the job without any problems and my sense for everything else.
And go to another brand when i upgrade later as usual.
