Given
- that the SpO2 measurement is not available in some countries
- that it doesn't appear for some people
- that it isn't appearing regularly for others
- that it takes so long for it to appear, when / if it does
- that it will consume 2 days of battery even when not providing any results [because some criteria isn't met so no information is shown but the data is still measured, if its working properly]
- that its not possible to get on the spot readings of SpO2 on the watch, or in Health Metrics or in the export of the archive
Would removing the SpO2 tracker app [and SpO2 clock face if used] from the Sense watch be a better solution, as that would give an extra 2 days of battery life consistently?
It is possible that some people think it necessary to use the SpO2 clock face on a Sense in order to see the one nightly result when they don't find the information in Health Metrics, which limits their choice of clock face.
They too would gain an extra 2 days of battery life and benefit by being able to choose a non SpO2 clock face instead, and uninstalling the SpO2 tracker App.
For people who wish to continue to see SpO2 results, when there are any, it should be noted that it is also now shown in the Sense watch Today app, without the need to install an SpO2 clock face, providing they keep the SpO2 tracker app.

The SpO2 clock face is no longer needed to track this. The info appears the next morning in the phone app. As to removing the SpO2 app from the device, yes that will extend battery life for people not interested in this feature.

I find the SpO2 insightful. Check it every morning.
it’s important to me to see my oxygen variation at night. It does not bother me that it takes a little longer to register in the mobile app. I just check the app late morning. I have the tracker and one of my 5 faces is Spo2 but I never use it. Get my readings anyway.
