Hi everyone,
I got myself a fitbit sense a few days ago and tried out its tracking functionality while jogging. However, the app doesnt show heart rate and calories for my recorded run. Instead it tells me it doesnt have enough data. On the fitbit dashboard it shows these metrics with no problem, but I dont want to go to the dashboard all the time. I started the recording manually through the app.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Also the app and watch are both on the latest updates.

Hello @MomoPanther and welcome to the Community. I apologize if I am misreading your post. By starting your run on the app, do you mean that you tapped the “+” on your exercise tile on your phone and chose track? If so, you chose an older tracking method with a long-standing bug that Fitbit has no plans to fix.
You should use the Exercise app on your Sense with the Run option to get all your data.

Alright thanks for the answer. Still very disappointing though. For me it is much more intuitive to start my exercises from my phone. Also one would think that it would be quite easy for fitbit to implement both options equally.

@MomoPanther I looked at your profile and can see that you are a new user. When you start tracking in the app, you can see that the only choices are run, walk, and hike. This is an older form of tracking and it’s fair to call it archaic in fitness tracking. The Exercise app on the Sense has more activities that can use GPS, like Interval Training.
I’m confident that Fitbit has no plans to fix tracking from the app. As a long time observer, Fitbit tends to move on from older ways is tracking when it introduces a newer method, like the Exercise app on the device itself.
