Hi there,
I have selected messages as my default message service - but I only seem to get a notification that I have received a message and when I go to read it on my Sense Fitbit, it says 'I'm all caught up' - it doesn't actually show me the message. I can read all the incoming messages from WhatsApp and Messenger from my Sense however, just not messages (SMS). Why is this?

Hi @flowerpower_74. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for letting me know about that you're unable to read your text notifications on your Sense. This is odd and just to confirm, have you made sure the Fitbit app is updated? If you have, please give a try to the following:

Thank you for your prompt response - I'm not sure I followed your instructions correctly as I think there were a few missing steps, for example, on my phone setting I couldn't find Apps > Fitbit > Force stop.
In any case, with all the fiddling, it seems something has indeed resolved itself and I am now able to read text messages from my Fitbit Sense watch.
Thank you for your help 🙂

Hi @Mabe4922. Welcome on board.
Thanks for the information. Let me explain that the Open option will open the notification on your phone, and automatically remove it from your watch. That's the reason why you're seeing that message since you don't have more notifications pending to check on your watch. To know more about how the notifications work on your Sense, see this help article.

Hi @Amedina02. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for your efforts while troubleshooting your Sense. Just to confirm, are you also having an issue to read the text messages on your watch? Or is the issue with the notifications not going through? May I know the model of your phone?
While you've tried some steps, please double check this help article which described some requirements and troubleshooting steps to get the notifications working correctly.

Text messages are not going through to my phone. I have an iPhone X. I had this problem with my ionic as well.

This helped a lot thank you. For folks on an Android device using Message+ app from Verizon you will need to ensure you privacy settings are turned on enabling preview otherwise you will not see them on the sense. I figured this out by reverting to Samsung messaging and preview was enabled. Check there first.

Hi @Amedina02, it's good to see you here again. @justmike5500 and @Kev83, welcome on board.
@Amedina02, thanks for replying back with more details about this matter. Because you have an iPhone, please go to your phone's settings, tap Notifications and make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked for Messages and any other preferred app. Also, verify there is a check mark below Notifications Center. Once that is done, try receiving a text message notifications to monitor your Sense.
@justmike5500, thanks for the great suggestions shared in this thread and I'm glad they worked for you and @Kev83. I'm sure your posts will help many other members experiencing similar issues with their watches and Android phones.

I'm having this exact issue on my sense. I get the vibration and a super, super quick preview on my sense when I get a text message. (I'm using Message+ from Verizon on my Galaxy 20+). However, if I swipe down to actually read the message, there's nothing there and it just says I'm all caught up. I have done all these suggestions to no avail:
-Verified in message+ app that previews are shown.
-rebooted app after following sequence to force stop and unpair from bluetooth
-made sure all settings are correct and updated.
I'm getting the notification, but opening it just erases it and I can't read the message on the fitbit itself.
What to do now?

Me too. Very frustrating.

I would make sure notifactions are enabled. Definately do the reboot instructions. You may also want to try changng back to the Samsung message app as default and do a test.

Check your phone settings when this happens before looking on your watch to see if there is a notification in the status bar on the phone.
If the notification disappears from the status bar there is something going on on the phone thats clearing it, which will clear it off the watch too.

Hi @Hlawson828, welcome to the Community Forums. @justmike5500 and @Guy_, thanks for stopping by to help our members.
@Hlawson828, thanks for trying the suggestions shared in this thread. I understand how frustrating this can be and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. @Guy_ has a good point as your Sense will receive any notification that arrives on your phone. Could you please confirm if your Message+ app notification still appears on your phone even if it's not on your watch?
While you've tried some steps, because you have an Android phone I'd suggest you to try the following:
I look forward to your response.
