Hey there, have really been having a hard time with my Fitbit device lately, always had a Fitbit went through many different ones. Was wondering when Fitbit was going to come out with a new device compatible with iPhone, they have the Google pixel device for android….what about iPhone, nobody uses androids anymore any ideas?

Hi @Ltice82 - only the Pixel is Android only, however there are some features that Apple don't allow on Fitbit watches, which is a decision made by Apple.
The Pixel is an alternative branch and doesn't match battery life found on Fitbits. However brands like Garmin have similar or better battery life and are supported also on both Android and Apple.
If Apple chooses to make restrictions to favour their own watches there is nothing other manufacturers can do about it. Basically they want to force you to use an Apple watch.

FYI Android had a worldwide market share of 71.95% so just because only you and your friend group use apple doesn't mean that "nobody uses androids anymore". Also Fitbit is owned by Google which makes their own android phone so kind of makes sense that they would prioritize android apple, especially with Apples refusal to update some of their standards ie. RCS, data/information transfers, make it easier for developers to create and innovate. Now that being said I have an Android and a pixel watch and I'm having trouble connecting too so it's not strictly and android vs iOS conversation. With every update these days something's get messed up. Hopefully they solve the issues in the upcoming releases

The issue @AHumiston is not so much that Apple hasn't updated, they simply have chosen not to offer, and block some common features to 3rd party companies
