Update 10/7/2020: The ECG app should be available now in the countries where it is currently available.
The Fitbit ECG (electrocardiogram) app on Fitbit Sense has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as Conformité Européenne (CE) marking in the European Union. The ECG app will be available in October 2020 to customers in the US, certain European countries, and Hong Kong. Availability outside the U.S. is pending applicable regulatory clearances.
Check out this Fitbit blog post for more details on how on-wrist ECG technology can offer early identification for irregularities like atrial fibrillation. For more answers to frequently asked questions about what the ECG app does and how it works, see fitbit.com/ecg.

OMG! Thank you! No wonder I wasn't finding it! I found it now and it works. I wish it was explained better in the instructions.
Thanks!
Best AnswerI live in Greece and I'm very interested in buying Fitbit Sense. I'm specifically interested in the ECG feature and the AFib warning capabilities. These features aside I could buy any other Android compatible smartwatch. It is not very clear to me if these features are expected to be available in the jurisdiction I live in. Greece is not even listed. Does this mean that Fitbit has not even applied for an approval or what?
I'm not sure if I should assume that having these features is simply a matter of time or maybe Fitbit has not even started the process in all countries. I would appreciate it very much if someone from Fitbit could clarify in which countries Fitbit has submitted an application for Sense's ECG features.
I’m trying to decide between the fitbit Sense or an apple watch... but the ECG is what I’m looking for, and I live in Canada... any idea when it will be available in Canada? If there is no foreseeable date, I’ll go with apple where the ECG already works in Canada.
My Versa display died, and it is no longer under warranty, so it’s time for something new, and if I’m getting something new, I’m going to go for ECG.... so it’s between the Fitbit Sense and the Apple Watch.... I’m in Canada, so unless there is an indication of when the ECG feature might be available in Canada, it looks like Apple might be the only way to go.

HollieAyne, are you able to see the actual ecg tracing on your fitbit app screen? I just got the download, and tried it, but all it says is that it's "normal". There is no ecg tracing to look at. I see that it requires firmware version 5.0, but my firmware is version 44.128.1.42, but does not give any option to update it. It also says that I can export a PDF, but it doesn't say where it will export it to, so I don't know how to find it.
I dont understand why a watch is sold and some feaqtures are not available in Canada No ECG, no google....
I've dealt with health Canada when i worked with Johnson And Johnson and they can be pretty slow at approving things.
You can't see it on the screen. When you export the data choose to email it to yourself. I can't find the download either. It definitely needs to be fine tuned.

Definitely it would be great to see the ECG tracing on the screen without having to generate a PDF report.
This would be a worthy update.

In android it's in your download map. Use a file manager than it's easy to find the pdf file. It looks like "Paul K._ECGReport_09 okt. 2020_17-59"
Best AnswerDon't understand the delay here in US. You would think the software would have been developed while awaiting FDA approval and ready for release the day after approval.
