Do you work for Fitbit/Google?!? 🤣 You seem to be alone in your support for this latest abomination of an update! 🤦🏻‍:female_sign:

I think it is safe to assume that RebeccaFitbit is a Fitbit/Google employee.

She can correct me if I am wrong but she's probably stopped reading this
thread by now- sticking her head in the sand so to speak.

Just want to say again how disappointed I am at the "upgrade" of the sleep tracker in the fitbit app. I only recently bought a fitbit and one of the reasons I got it was to track my sleep. I was finding the tracker information really helpful until today's update. The previous visual design was really clear to follow and the colours used made it easy to see quickly what the pattern of my sleep had been and how long I had slept. The new design has insufficient contrast between the colours, there's a lot of "busyness" to the design with tiny text around sleep stages, lots of dotted lines on it ... it's just hard to look at and doesn't easily convey the information or an overall snapshot of my sleep at all. I found it stressful trying to take in the information given the level of detail displayed all on 1 page. If it's at all possible I would like the old design back - or the option to have the old design back. I have Premium on free trial at the moment but I won't be paying for it when the free period is up if you continue with the new sleep tracker design - it's not useable to me. And such a shame that a design that I was finding helpful has been removed.

Absolutely hate it. It was easier to read before.
Is there a way to change back?

The new sleep interface is not near as good as the old!! I prefer the previous look and stats

It's terrible. It's like you are literally trying to get people to throw their Fitbit in the garbage and sign up for another tracker brand.  What are you thinking?  First you ruined the actual fitness experience, and now you've ruined the sleep part.  Did you fire your UX designers and just start getting AI to design this stuff for you?  Is this to save money?

Bad.  Just the latest misstep by this company.

Please bring back the other version. The new version is impossible to read. The data is hard to see, which makes it almost unusable

Change for change sake is not evolution

Absolutely terrible.  I can’t imagine a less useful graph.   The old design was much better, and users should have the option of going back to the old display

Not a fan.   I vote to get the old version back.   This new sleep experience is not as easy to read or understand.   What's the point in the line that moves....it doesn't do anything.  Sorry but I truly am not happy.

Please bring back the old format. This is horrible

I can’t stand the new design it’s so much harder to read & It doesn’t register if you swipe too close to the sides of the screen so you miss chunks of data.

I know someone out there spent ages on this but Its AWFUL please please change it back. Or at least make it legible!!!

it is pretty telling that in the screenshot in the blogpost they had to add 2+ hours of random awake time to the chart so the text doesn't overlap the graph.  even the person making official blog post knew that this redesign was broken and unusable as-is.

this sleep experience update is absolutely awful, and i kind of hope my fitbit just dies so i can buy something new from a competitor.

Deleted and reinstalled the app twice thinking it was a software glitch before I came here. Hate it! It looks messy!

Worst update ever, horrible to look at, no graphs in weekly view, makes my eyes hurt.

I was going to buy a new Fitbit and this has made me rethink my choices

Best Answer

Please revert the colors

Great eye and thanks for calling them out for having to manipulate an unrealistic sleep schedule to keep from drawing attention to its poor design.  I hope someone from Fitbit is actually reading this massive pushback and dissatisfaction and actually does something to fix this.  I am moving into the camp of people who are going to abandon Fitbit for an Apple Watch and encourage people to avoid Fitbit products.

I don't like it at all! It seems that interrupted sleep is not properly counted. I went to bed at 10:30 but woke up (bio break?) at 1 and didn't get right back to sleep. Woke up at 7. The app counted the 10:30 to 1:00 time as "Other sleep". It did eventually count the 2 sessions as total sleep, though. The previous presentation was more accurate.

I am beyond annoyed with this change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why can't I keep it the way I like, which is much quicker to find out all I need to know.

You should all be fired for just doing random stuff to justify keeping your jobs, frustrating people in the process.
