Hi everyone! Starting today, you may notice a new sleep experience in your Fitbit app. If you don't have it right away, please be patient as it can take some time to reach all users.
Check out what’s new by going to the Fitbit Community blog.

What Google has done since taking over Fitbit is a disgrace!
I'm in my mid-60s and the redesign especially for the sleep is so much harder to read now that I am looking to change to another smartwatch. Google needs to fire the app designers!

Totally annoyed with the changes to sleep data section of the app. Harder to read with the lack of color. Hard to find the thin movable vertical line to see a little detail. Heaven forbid if I should wake up even once during the night and take more than 1 minute in the restroom..... even if I go right back to sleep it seems to skip the next couple of hours or just says awake or restless. Not seeing REM or Deep anymore. I used to be able to see steps on the app as I was doing them, now not so much, I have to keep tapping sync. I have been a fitbit user for years. First one was a Charge (lasted a year and then wouldn't charge) and yet I gave fitbit another try and got the Alta HR which I still like because of its sleek design and ease of changing bands. But then a few years ago I upgraded to Inspire HR and was ok until a few weeks ago I had it on in a pool for a few minutes, but now won't charge. Back to using just my reliable Alta HR, but now that you have messed with parts of the app that seemed fine, I will be looking to saying good riddance to Fitbit if I don't see true improvement in the next couple of weeks.

They changed how to do - if you press on the new ugly graphs, a line appears that you can move back and forth to show the exact times for each labeled block at the top of the graph. This is actually more precise than the previous interface to give credit where due, since I have fat fingers and had difficulty before selecting the desired part of the graph in less than 3 tries. Overall however, I still prefer the old presentation and a benchmark tab that actually showed benchmarks.

Agreed. Also related -- maybe Im confused but broken sleep sessions now appear in two different days. Example if I fall asleep at 930pm Fri, get up at 1am Sat. and then sleep again at 3a sat until 8a sat. these sessions appear on two different days. so the first adds 3.5 hours to Friday sleep graph; the second appears on Saturday graph This is illogical. I dont recall it being like that before the upgrade. Am I wrong? Can it be fixed?

Benchmark is still broken - it just shows the % for the stage time minutes, but no longer shows a user customized range box of "typical" %'s for others of your age and fitness level. It appears they intended to include like before (they have a footnote "Typical range for people like you"), but never got around to putting in the actual benchmark ranges - thereby eliminating the feature I used most on the entire app. NO, I AM NOT HAPPY! FIX IT.

Yes. The old version stitched them together under certain circumstances. This newer version doesn’t do that. It’s irritating that we’ve lost functionality in this newer version.

Really don't like what you've done. Presentation of sleep data not as clear, and colours less attractive. Why can I no longer expand my sleep readout in landscape? Why fix what wasn't broken?

This "upgrade" is the worst. It is so hard to read. Nothing is straightforward. Terrible job.

I can’t stand this “improvement” - I want to see the individual scoring and get actual insights into how my different sleep stages and heart rate determined my score. This new version is hard to read and nowhere near as useful as before. The whole point of my premium subscription was to get more insights and useful feedback, not less!

Real unhappy with the new changes in the sleep function. Can't even turn the unhelpful graph to landscape to see it more clearly. Information and data has been watered down. And the new feature that I dislike the most: being assigned a childish animal. I am a full-grown, mature adult - don't treat me like a child.
I had a Charge 4 for several years. Recently replaced it with Inspire 3 and signed up for the free 6-month "Premium" service. Then comes this watering down of my favorite feature. Definitely won't continue with the "Premium" service.

Fitbit NEVER listens to its users, not on sleep issues and not on recharging issues. That's just the way it is.

Hate, hate, hate it! It's way too confusing. It's colorless, & less information. What a step backwards! This is no upgrade! Is there a way to go back? If not, I will not be continuing premium when it's due in August. There are other options out there fitbit!! You are not the only smart watch out there. It seems to me most on this blog hate this so call upgrade! PUT IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!! AND fire the idiot who came up with the idea!
