Hi everyone! Starting today, you may notice a new sleep experience in your Fitbit app. If you don't have it right away, please be patient as it can take some time to reach all users.
Check out what’s new by going to the Fitbit Community blog.

It’s terrible. Visually unappealing and difficult to interpret. I don’t even bother looking at it anymore, except once in a while when I check back in the hopes that they’ve reverted to the original design! And that little smiley moon you’d get when you had a good sleep, I miss that cute lil guy. It’s just boring now and no fun to use.

In spite of my desperate measures to embrace the new app redesign I remain highly challenged to be able to use the one thing that I rely on the most and that is the sleep reporting as well as the oxygen level reporting
The background color of it is terrible. It is essentially light colors on white and to be able to move the time bar to determine when things occurred at night is near impossible. This Issue is doubled when it comes to the oxygen levels at night time.
Everything else remains easy to navigate through as it has always been…. Fix it!!!

I restored my Fitbit app to the prevoius version some weeks ago, the one we all like. I've turned off the updates so they can't override it. It all works fine.
But my Premium subscription has just come up for renewal. I refuse to pay any more for this service. So, I've cancelled my subscription and will be looking for an alternative watch, and it wont be google! Probably Samsung, Garmin, or Galaxy.
Why would I do this even though I'm quite happy with my restored app?
Because they are clearly trying to kill off Fitbit. The update is awful. And primarily becasue they don't care! They ask for our views, then nothing, no reply, silence. I will not be giving any more money when customers are treated like that. Why would I continue to put any time, effort, money into such a product? why would I waste any more of my time giving feedback when they clearly have no intention of listening?

I just got around to applying the update and was surprised to see the change this morning. I am a huge proponent of new data, although I fear where it is being stored. Regardless, I have used my Fitbit for many years for the ability to quickly see basic theoretical exercise stats throughout the day, my pulse, and track my sleep patterns.
It is stated, and obvious to everyone, that this sleep data is all extrapolated guesstimates, particularly light sleep if you simply do not move, but still allows for patterns.
--> The ability to rotate a phone and see the sleep timeline expanded to full screen for easier viewing has been removed? If not, how do I get that back?

Well, the "new experience" SUCKS. The graph is more difficult to interpret.. The device now has problems tracking sleep, losing hours in between times it does track. I can't edit a sleep cycle because it keeps telling me there's a sleep cycle already in the data, even after deletion, restarting, restarting the Fitbit, and so on and so on.
Bad bad google

Huge steaming pile. It's like you think Apple doesn't have enough users. Thanks.

I've come to the conclusion that Google just doesn't want to support all the data from previous nights' sleep. Yes, you can still go to You>Feed>Sleep> and see your sleep stages, but you can't access all the data like you could easily in the old interface.
This is a big step backwards!

I absolutely HATE the new update for sleep - it is hard to read I can't tell anything about my sleep patterns it is horrible and awful and does me no good! It needs to either have another major overhaul or go back to the old layout that actually makes sense.

Totally agree! It’s worthless now.

I liked the previous sleep chart and graph. How can I get it back again?

I’m good with both sleep layouts with the Benchmark closely resembling the old format. Click on Benchmark.

I'm so confused. I'm a new Inspire 3 user and my sleep just shows "awake, restless, and asleep" with none of the REM, Light, Deep details described in Redesigned Sleep Experience. I was just on chat with support to fix another issue (lack of HRV data) and the rep said that the newest update to the app removed all that detail. I'm on IOs with Fitbit app 4.21 (42143025) and fitbit premium subscription. Am I missing something?

My graphics have changed but data is still the same as before the update.

That is my point the graphics have changed and are much more difficult to read.
